EA DB Editor error

What could I be doing wrong when attempting to mod my dynasty file?
Here are the steps I took:

1) Format my usb within my XBOX360 using the formatting option
2) Went to my Dynasty and saved it to the new formatted usb
3) Took usb out of 360 console
4) Plugged usb into my computer
5) Opened up Modio 3 and select open from external device
6) Browsed thru to select Dynasty file
7) On File Contents tab in Modio, right clicked the dynasty file and choose extract file
8) File was saved to my desktop
9) Opened up EA DB editor
10) Selected Load Config
11) Choose XAN's NCAA 14 Config file.xml
12) After file loaded, choose Open, browsed to where dynasty file was saved on my desktop
13) As a result, I get the error shown below

there is nothing you can do. you wont be able to mod anymore.

You can try and use a different xml file. I made one that removed the
roster parts which typically create that error. Download here

when i clicked the link all of the NCAA data in the file came up on my screen. I dont know what happened.

Right click the link in the post and do "save as"

Quick question:

I have a PS3 and for some reason the ncaa dynasty editor won't accept my mco2 dynasty file. Is there a tutorial for PS3 users to install this or the customer schedules?? I am rather new to this and I would like to install before I start my offline dynasty. Any feedback would be great. Just need help getting started with the correct program and downloadable link. Also do you have to use horizons for this?

Thank you for trying to help me out, but it still didn't work. Just to confirm, when modding a dynasty, it is best to do so when it is in Presason mode as opposed to doing so during the season, right?
I just cannot understand why this error occurs. Modio is recognizing the usb device I am using, but EA DB editor is screwing it up.

I think you need to do it week 1 before any games are played. Not sure how well it works in the preseason since schedules have not been made yet.

Did you decrypt USR-DATA in Bruteforce already?

If so, DO NOT rename the file with an mc02 extension. Leave it alone.

In the Editor, after you load a config file (Xan's has scheduling and any other dynasty options you want) select "open.". In the Windows box that pops up, change the drop down box from "mc02 files" to "All Files.". Select your usr-data, and voilà.

So, I stopped playing NCAA Football for a little bit. I started playing today and remembered I haven't tested your editor PocketScout. I just tested it and it worked! Thank you so much man. I can finally make my Purdue series on youtube knowing I can have a 4 team playoff .

Xanathol made the editor so praise goes to him on that, myself and others in the community have just tried to maximize what we can do with it

I'm getting the same error even when I used the other xml file shown on this thread. I've been able to mod the game in the past and I know you can't add teambuilder teams so I'm not sure what the issue is. I just started a new dynasty and for some reason it just isn't working anymore.

Make sure u use Horizon from WeMod

I had been using modio, I just used Horizon and I got the same error

All you have to do is rename the file and put .mc02.
