The Crowd Reaction in this game Needs to be fixed, The crowd usually responds to big plays and crunch time and at the end of each quarter. this Crowd is DEAD!!! CMON 2K

Absolutely agree. This is the one thing that holds the game back from being truly perfect for me - in real life, crowds are going nuts on comebacks, big shots, and hot streaks, especially in the playoffs. In NBA 2K, well...there's some more noise below 2 minutes, but that's about it. NBA Live actually has had it right since last year, want to see 2K step up and do the same.

Yeah I was disappointed especially after seeing the video where Mike Wang talked up the crowd and how it was really improved. There are some graphical improvements but I tested it out against 2k15 and a lot left to be desired. I was really hyped when Mike Wang talked about the atmosphere in play off games and how it resembled that of a real NBA Game. NBA playoff games fan noise is crazy!!! I do not feel this is reflected in 2k16 when i got to the playoffs!

^It's actually really weird in the playoffs. In my first round games the crowd was pretty decent, but in the second round they were totally dead -- they'd be loud in spurts at weird times (like free throws) but then die off immediately after.

Hoping the patch that hits in November solves this.

Yea ! How hard can it be to beef up the crowd reaction. How come NBA live get this right every year and 2K continue to lack the effort? Im with you in it takes away from truly enjoying the big games.

Ye you guys are right the game feels empty when you at home and have run other team take timeout and crowd is gone what????this kind of situations is much more
They add this emotion anination to guys like curry .... but they feel really empty because crowd is gone after big plays lol


And announcers they are everywhere the same in future they need to add knicks warriors heat grizzles .... annoucers it will be huge

Yeah we've had a couple threads on this but it's completely broken.

Not only is the atmosphere weak in general, but they react incorrectly to the scenerios as well.

Sometimes the bigger the play the more silent they get.

It's broken. A patch will help but they need to completely overhaul the entire crowd noise next year.

Crowd Atmosphere has been an issue for years and at this point, I'm not even sure a patch could correct it.

Because if it could, it wouldn't even be an issue right now. Like others have said, it sucks because it's the one thing that's holding this game back and I don't understand how Live has it right but 2K still struggles with it after all these years.

Agreed - I do like how they get into it with the organ during certain points of the game, but usually during the defense chant or the happy and you know it chant...I would love one little thing as when you are attempting a 3 and they are chanting 3.... if it hits and you take the lead or tie the game especially during a comeback with momentum they should go crazy - they just chant 3 and if it goes it..its goes back to being normal LOL - what happened to the euphoria

I had a game where I was up 6 and nick Johnson hit a buzzer beating 3 to end the game. He is celebrating, the crowd goes wild there is a replay like it was the play of the game. But why is the crowd so excited in a loss.

The problem is with the timing.

I was Dallas at home...the crowd was chanting 'defense' etc...I had two defensive stops in a row...'defense' chant...everyone stomping their feet.

All good?

But then I forced the CPU to miss again.....and despite this being their third straight miss and my crowd going nuts 20 seconds earlier, the chanting simply stopped.

I then went down and scored.

Golf clap.

Crowd should have erupted....three straight stops and a score, but they went quiet.

The timing is what ruins it. The sounds themselves are in the game, they are just not triggered correctly.

I think often the word "broken" used way too much when describing an aspect of 2K....but the sound in this game and the crowd atmosphere is completely broken. Period. It's the worst it's ever been this year, and last year was pretty bad.
