Constantly missing wide open shots in mypark/proam

Hey, I don't know what the problem is, but i keep missing wide open shots all the time in park/pro am, im a 6'0 outside pg with max jump shooting. It's really common for me to miss wide open straight at the white line jumpers, i can easily miss 3-5 shoots in a row all open and all on the white line. I seriously rarely ever shoot over 40ish % in park, and its starting to get really annoying, i've tried jumpers such as LA, 70, 22, Jordan, Lillard, Wall etc nothing seem to work :S. My friend have no problem shooting with these jumpers, and i don't know what the problem is. It's quite annoying loosing games just because ur missing shot after shot that should go in. Any tips?

    Cheers!

You're an outside Point Guard and you tried to use Lamarcus Aldridge's shot? I won't attack you for how you used to cheese on NBA 2K15 but this is the 'new' game where you don't make every shot.

My only suggestion would be to use regular jump shots and not ones you think are cheese. Also I'd like to see video evidence of the wide-open shots you're missing if possible.

I tell this to so many people. Stop changing your jumpshot. I've had the same jumpshot since 2K15 and I feel like I've about mastered it. Each time somebody has a bad shooting game, they feel like they have to change their jumpshot. But now you have to learn and get a feel of a brand new one, while facing guys who've been using the same one for a number of games.

Imagine if you had picked one way back and just stuck with it between all those times you've changed.

I want to thank you for asking for help instead of asking for 2K to change the make %. I think it's perfect as it is. I'm a balanced 6'8" SF and think my miss/ make ratio is perfect. If 2K does decide to up the make %, I hope they can do it by position. Nothing more irritating than having SF, PF, and Cs with a better shooting percentage.

          1) You are going to miss a fair number of shots no matter what. Even with maxed shooting and boosts, a lot can go wrong on your shot. Especially in online modes with variations in latency.

          2) Feet set shots off the catch and shoot are the best shots in the game. Anything off the dribble will reduce your make chances (possible exception for the one-dribble mid-range which appears to be money for a lot of face-up bigmen.) In the park, that means that you are going to have to rely on your teammates to get you the ball when you are open.

          3) Badges make a pretty big difference. Pick and Roll maestro/outlet, corner specialist, deadeye and a few others can really boost percentages in the park/pro-am. It is worth grinding single player games to get some of the key shooting badges if you are going to be a shooter.

          4) Pick a jumpshot and practice with it. In my experience, somewhat early on my jumper (Rudy Gay) is almost infinitely better than a microsecond too late. That is different for different jumpshots though. The jumper animation also changes depending on motion and contest strength. It is not entirely predictable which animation will trigger every time, so even with perfect timing, you can be off by a bit. The key is to be as consistent as possible given the variables.

All of those jumpers you listed are WET besides 22 IMO. It has to be user error man. Like someone mentioned earlier find 1 jumper and stick with it. LA and 70 are damn near automatic in this game. Keep at it bro

I had kobe's for the last 2 years but with the new generic jumpshots they added, I had to change to 116. It is SMOOTH

Park isn't even superstar sim so pro am is harder to hit than park and i have no issues hitting 50%+ and 3-5 threes a game in pro am. Watch the video i linked on "3 pointers arent broke, you are" thread my video May give you a better idea of what open 3s look like. Set your feet and catching and shooting are very important. No more mixtape and1 crap before you shoot.
