Pro AM Playing at Wrong Position

Played a couple games of pro am last night with 3 people on our team. When we had a SG,PF, and C the SG played SF. And when we had a PG, SG, and C the PG played SF and the SG played PF while the CPUs were PG and SG. Has this happened to anyone else?

Pre-patch this would happen whenever we got back to back games in a lobby.

Your first mistake: Going out there with anything less than 5 people. You're asking to get cooked by full teams of 5.

Maybe cuz 2K keeps screwin stuff up?

Not everyone has 5 on all the time so we get punished by getting garbage ai and being forced to play outta position?

And I never got cooked in 10 or 11 against 5..ever

We're still 3-0 despite going against teams of 5. Thank for your concern though

I thought I had just read a different thread talking about the same thing, but can't seem to find it.

Anyways, from what I remember that thread said. Anytime you have CPUs on your team, they will always fill the positions starting from PG->SG-> and so on.

Terrible decision if you ask me as this was not the case pre-patch.

This out of position cheese has happened to me in all of the 4 PRO-AM games I played after the patch. essentially what I think 2k did was just match up 5 random players regardless of position and start the game. Unfortunately if you're playing as a walk on against an actual team, you're going to get murdered. I got stuck playing PF, SF twice, then PF again in all 4 games. My natural position is SG and I'm 6'4, you know it didn't end very well. Also there were no CPU players in the game.

This is how the positions get chosen -

                WITH NO CPU
                Height Based
PG [Shortest], SG [2nd Shortest], SF [3rd Shortest], PF [4th Shortest], C [5th Shortest]

                WITH CPU
                1 CPU
                PG [CPU], SG[Shortest], SF [2nd Shortest], PF [3rd Shortest], C [4th Shortest]

                2 CPU
PG [CPU], SG [CPU], SF [Shortest], PF [2nd Shortest], C [3rd Shortest]

CPUs get put at position starting from PG and move down the line to SG -> SF, etc.
                Users get put by height.

The game doesn't select your position by matchup, see page 1. It's solely based on who is on your team. If you get matched up with CPU 80% of the time, then this is what happened.

                    Team 1 [5 Human Players]
PG [Jotterio], SG [Human], SF [Human], PF [Human] C [Human]

                    Team 2 [4 Human Players, 1 CPU]
PG [CPU], SG [Human], SF [Human], PF [Human] C [Human]

My team had 3 human players (PG, SG, C) and 2 CPU. The human SG was positioned at PF, but the human PG stayed at PG.
