Do you agree that nba 2k has the best commentary?
I think that nba 2k sports always has really good commentary it sounds so natural and makes you feel like your watching a real basketball game do you guys care how good the commentary is in a sports title?Tags: None -

Yeah I would say so...if they get interrupted by something happening on the court while talking about a subject they would casually go back to the conversation where they left off.
Kind of off topic but it's nice to hear "you can't coach that" Dan in some of the vids in the game. -

Only other sports game I really play is Madden and compared to that definitely. Madden is awful when it comes to commentary, the lines have been the same for 3 years in a row (they need to get Gruden in there).
I didn't start playing 2K heavy until 2K13/2K14 and I don't really remember the commentary from then but 2K15/2K16 have both been very nice in that aspect. There are some odd moments for sure though, like how the announcers will get hyped for a buzzer beater at the end of the first quarter but not a game winner.
Commentary is very important to me in a game, it affects the atmosphere and can affect how quickly you get bored of a game. If you hear new and unique lines relevant to the situation you'll really get immersed, but if you hear the same line every game for years on end then it's an atmosphere/fun killer.Los Angeles Lakers, Las Vegas Golden Knights, Atlanta Falcons

The commentary is great one time I was playing and Clark Kellog said sometime and Greg Anthony just burst out laughing and it went on for. A good minute or 2 which was pretty cool

Re: Do you agree that nba 2k has the best commentary?
Ill be honest, I hate the commentary on it.
I was playing a game the other day and I managed to take Bradley Beal to Orlando. The commentary then proceeded to talk about him as if he was a Washington player.
2k's Baseball commentary with Gary Throne was excellent, thats the last game that made you feel really immersed in the game.Comment

Re: Do you agree that nba 2k has the best commentary?
There is very little dead air, which is great, but there's not enough focus on the court. Most of the commentary is back stories and anecdotes, rather than calling the game. And when they do comment on the game, it sounds kinda robotic.
I know commentary is probably the most difficult part of presentation, but I would love for them to put the focus back on the action on the court.Comment

Do you mean that only for nba 2k16 or mostly all the nba 2ks in general? There is very little dead air, which is great, but there's not enough focus on the court. I actually love all the anecdotes....keeps things fresh for me.....straight up play by play just gets old fast.....and honestly, the commentators on TV don't even call out every pass by a player like it's done in 2k....so the more conversation the better..,.
The only thing that's odd about the commentary are Harlan and Clarks random outbursts....they're hilarious and just weird at the same time....

I love comedy, so the anecdotes at times can really drive home the presentation to me. It feels a lot more natural than just about every other sports game. Very rarely will they stop talking like a true NBA broadcast. I'd say it's the best to me at least

By far 2k16 has the best in game presentation no doubt about it in my mind, I dont play FIFA but as far as the other sports games 2k takes the crown"Don't ever underestimate the heart of a champion!"

Fifa has the best commentary..
Of course it is a different game, but you can feel the excitement when someone scored a goal like - "Ronaldoooooooooooo" or "Agueroooooooo"
Some little touch like when it is the player's birthday, commentators will actually acknowledge it.
I actually do skill moves on fifa not to score goals but to hear what will the commentators say.Comment
