Week 8: SNF Green Bay Packers (6-0) @ Denver Broncos (6-0)

The home team is 10-1-1 all time in Packers-Broncos matchups. In all meetings between these teams in Denver, the losing team has scored no more than 14 points.

This is only the 2nd ever meeting between Rodgers and Manning! Last time was back in Rodgers first season as a starter.

If I looked at the site properly, I think in NFL history, only 2 times prior to this game, have 2 teams at least 6-0(with no ties) faced off in the regular season:
    2007(Pats 8-0 vs Colts 7-0)
    1973(Vikings 6-0 vs Rams 6-0)

Both times, the winner of that matchup, went onto the Superbowl, but lost. Crazier thing,if Packers and Panthers win, they'll be the undefeated teams facing off next week too! Something that had only happened 2 times in NFL history, could happen 2 times in the same season!

Anxious to see what Rodgers can do against this defense.

As a Vikings fan this be a cool matchup to see to form opinions on the Pack vs Vikes matchup since Denvers and Vikes defense have a similiar style.

I would like to think bye week has helped get this offense headed in the right direction. Hillman has been great, but CJ Anderson needs to be back to 2014 form for us to be more successful. DT will need to stop dropping easy passes and Sanders will need to stay healthy. I say Broncos 21-17.
I love John Fox press conferences.

Didnt notice it at first but this game has the top 2 points allowed defenses going up against each other.

        Greenbay at 16.8 allowed
        Denver at 17 allowed

Majingir, everytime I read your posts I always get the impression that you're way too excited to post because of your constant use of "!!!", lol.

Anyway, I'm not losing any sleep if we lose this one and I'll be satisfied with a split of these next 2 games.

Hopefully Lacy gets it going early and out of his funk. Peyton is struggling right now but his FBIQ is still one of the best out there and we did let Rivers cook us for 500 yds on 60 attempts, so I'd rather not have a repeat of that performance from the Defense, which has been better than I expected early on.

Key players injuries are on the practice field for the Packers. The Packers had 12 players on the injury report before the bye and only 2 sat out practice on Monday, Montgomery and Starks, for some reason.

Raji and Burnett aren't sure they are playing, yet.

Rivers is good and this Manning well isn't. even after that performance Packers pass defense is 4th in DVOA.

Adams being back helps this pass offense. Hopefully this is the week Lacy gets going.

What are your guys expectations for Adams?

Yeah he's on my fantasy team (stash and pray), but as a fan of the game he was electric last year. Expect an ease in week, or are Jones and Montgomery (if he plays) going to eat in to his snaps?

I wanna see Rodgers against that DEN defense. Rodgers hasn't had too many big games that we would normally expect from a perennial MVP candidate, so I'm kind of leaning towards him and GB coming in with a great gameplan and proving he's still the best (or tied with Brady) QB in the league.

I'm reading the better QB wins this one, but, I'm not so sure about that. Rodgers is missing Jordy Nelson like you wouldn't believe. There isn't a deep threat anymore. Montgomery is not a given to play, either.

So stoked for this game. Rodgers has been his usual awesome self and the biggest reason why the Packers are unbeaten. On the flip side, Manning has been absolutely terrible and the Broncos are unbeaten despite him. Denver's defense has been fantastic, but the Packers are loaded with weapons. The Broncos corners are some of the best in the league, but I like Richard Rodgers in this game since Aaron Rodgers has to throw it to someone. If the GB line can keep Rodgers on his feet and give him a little bit of time, I fully expect him to make enough throws to win the game. However, if the Broncos pass rush gets pressure (which they are great at) with Miller and Ware, it could be a long day. That's the key here: Denver's pass rushers vs. Green Bay's line.

                    Can't wait!

IT'S HERE! First time in a long time I was truly waiting all day for Sunday night. As a Packer fan, I have to say I like our chances because I feel like our defense can stop the Broncos offense. On the other hand, Denver's defense is definitely amazing, so this is going to be nothing short of a great game.

                          Broncos have been dominant.

GB offense hasn't looked sharp for weeks now. I think they need to go out and a get a playmaker somewhere.
