I really wish they would change this. There aren't enough Divas to make it worth while having users be forced to have that as a belt on a show.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Re: WWE 2K16 Available Now, Post Your Impressions Here
Can someone explain to me how to do a rest hold, and how to attempt to get out of one?
So let's say someone has me in a rest hold, and you see their right analog stick goes to the left, am I trying to mimic where the R is going? So if theirs goes to the left, should I try to get mine in the exact same position?
I also have no idea how to even initiate one on offense.Comment

Yeah man it sucks. I haven't experienced it yet on 2K16 since I haven't gone looking for creations. But on 2K15, I'd say, 80% of the time Xbox Live was grayed out. I would get that same thing about accepting the privacy setting and stuff. When I could access it, I was only able to download a few wrestlers before it kicked me out. I just checked and was able to get on with 2K16. I only had 2K15 for a few weeks though so I'm not sure how much of an issue it really is. But 2K definitely needs to stay on this because if I experience in 16 what I did in my limited time with 15 then this game will take a major hit in my eyes.Comment

Initiate one, I'm not sure. Someone posted a link to the manual earlier in the thread. I should go back and look too - it's probably in there. Can someone explain to me how to do a rest hold, and how to attempt to get out of one?

To escape one, you rotate your stick until your circle spot turns red. Hold it there to fill it up. Totally independent of your opponent's - no need to mimic.Comment

Rest holds are by holding X, the way you also do submissions. The opponent has to be in the seated "tired" position. If you enjoy STREAMING GOLD, make sure to follow us on our Twitch channel @thehotmessComment

Re: WWE 2K16 Available Now, Post Your Impressions Here
Game is an absolute blast. I stayed up until 2:15 in the morning Tuesday night playing and played quite a bit yesterday. Maybe because I haven't played a wrestling game in years, but I am having so much with this game just going random exhibition matches.
I am having trouble finishing off people with submissions as well. I forgot about the yellow orb though. I'll make an effort next to me to get that and see if I can finally get a win via submission.
What is the green bar that pops up sometimes with reversals?
Is there a move list anywhere? I feel like I'm missing out on certain moves.Last edited by Brandwin; 10-29-2015, 07:10 AM.Comment

2K does an amazing job with NBA 2K commentary, but damn WWE 2K commentary is stale within a few minutes. Playing with commentary off again as always.Comment

They dont have the same amount of time with the WWE 3 that NBA does with Harlan, Kellogg and Anthony. If WWE had an offseason, they could do more audio sessions with the WWE announcers.Comment

Ahh yeah didn't think about that. I think I'd be willing to sacrifice the real announcers for good generic ones. But I know the mass wouldn't feel the same.Comment

Re: WWE 2K16 Available Now, Post Your Impressions Here
Loving this game so far. First match I did random and it picked Brian Pillman, used his WWE attire and it was the crazy Brian throwing up the 4 Horsemen symbol. Did random for opponent and it picked Dolph. I was really happy for this match.
I lost the first one then won the rematch, both matches had a nice amount of back and forth and like many have said the pacing was on point. I noticed no blood so went to options turned it on and noticed turn off reversal limit. Picked both again and although it was a pretty good match I won more easily.
Went right back to options to turn reversal limit back on, don't mind loosing matches and it's so much better with it on. Great job 2k

Re: WWE 2K16 Available Now, Post Your Impressions Here
Some moves have two reversal moments. The first one - the "weak" reversal point - costs one reversal stock and is shown with a green reversal indicator. The second one - the "strong" reversal point - costs two reversal stock, is shown with a red reversal indicator, and stuns an opponent when successfully executed.
You can see a wrestler's signatures and finishers in the match (and the situations for performing each) in the pause screen, but beyond that I think you're gonna have to go to the move-set editor to see the moves list per-wrestler.Is there a move list anywhere? Re: WWE 2K16 Available Now, Post Your Impressions Here
Played a few matches last night. First blush impressions are this game is certainly more enjoyable than previous WWE games. Better pacing, movement and flow to the matches now. The reversal system was a great call; love the extra added strategy element.
The new submission system is going to take me a while to figure out. I was terrible with similar systems in UFC 3 and EA UFC.
AI is improved but they still make some odd choices at times. I'm losing matches on Normal though (lost to Stardust as Daniel Bryan), so I won't complain too much.
Is there a block button for strikes? I try not to use my reversals for those, but I don't think I have a choice since I can't just block a strike.
The grapple controls are a bit foreign to me, too. I'll have to keep playing and see if I can figure out how that all works.
Commentary and crowd reactions are a sore spot for me. Graphics are a mixed bag; some wrestlers look amazing and others look last-gen.
The good news is that after playing last night, I have the desire to keep playing the game. Previous years I'd play for an hour or two and grow bored because the gameplay really hadn't changed to challenge me.Currently Playing:
