Free Super Mega Baseball DLC Update Delayed Again For PlayStation Fans

PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 owners of Super Mega Baseball were expecting to see a free DLC update in September, which was later pushed to October.

Unfortunately, the free update has been delayed again and instead of promising another estimated release date, the team explains the situation and mentions they are committed to release it ASAP.

Many of you have been waiting patiently for our PS3/PS4 patch and free DLC release, which was pushed back from September to October. Here we are, at the end of October, and you still haven’t seen it yet – we owe you an explanation.

First and foremost, it’s still on its way. In fact, the development has been done for some time now. As it turns out, the addition of a free trial mode and the free DLC (two new stadiums), has complicated the process of getting the updates through to the store. There’s simply a lot of configuration changes that have to be okay’d and a lot of back and forth involved to get it all setup correctly on both PS3/PS4 and in all regions. We’re working as fast as we can, but are stuck in a bit of a waiting game now.

This has already taken much longer than we expected, so we’ll avoid making any further promises and just say we’re committed to getting this thing out ASAP. We’re sorry for the wait.

Super Mega Baseball: Extra Innings was released for Xbox One on August 13, check out our review here, if you missed it.

This game is very fun, having a trial mode is a really good idea because I'm sure it will get them more business once people try it out and see how enjoyable it is.

Sounds like Sony is just being a pain in the ***, again.
