to all the old ps3 crew heads who are on pro am now, how does it compare to the GOAT mode from 2k11? it was pretty good on 2k15 as well, but they took away some key features, like individual player starts, and they added ridiculous leaderboards that only favored teams who were really active. i'm thinking about buying a ps4, but if I did it'd only be for pro am, so I wanna make sure the mode is right before i cop.

Still a couple of issues.

No roster. People can jump from "crew" to "crew". The only one who gets the recognition is the "Crew" leader.

No Home-Away jerseys. Only one jersey per "crew".
Annoying when we get a matchup with the same jersey color as us.

Individual leaderboard needs a minimum of games played.

Forced to run with 5 players. If we load with 3, CPU will play PG and SG. Doesnt matter if we have a PG on our team, he will play SF.

If a team quits, the team with remaining players should be awarded a W. It should not make the user play the CPU. Game over.

wow, this post is really depressing. how do leaderboards work? is there any stat tracking for the gm of the crew at least? 2k struck GOLD with crew. why they'd get rid of it for lousy alternatives is beyond me. how about nba live, don't they have their own version of crew? anyone try that?

I can agree with everything BUT the "forced to run with 5 players." You SHOULD be forced to play with 5. Nobody who plays wants to be forced to play against the CPU all game because you didn't want to bring a full team. That's what MyCareer is for. If you don't have 5, go play walk-on.

Computers are god-awful. Except, that they aren't. If left open, they will hit. You cannot get around them defensively. Their rotations and close-out speeds are insane. Reactions = to Deion Sanders.

So be it if you want to play with 3-4 players. But make matchmaking so that we don't get matched up with them. NHL has preferences such that you can get User Goalie matches no?

The best teams in original Crew mode didn't run with five. Go look at the spacing in 5 man games, and how they play. If you think that's basketball let me laugh at you for a minute.

No spacing, no plays being run, all fastbreaks, cherry picking...

Running with 5 is horrible it changes the whole game, 3 was always a perfect balance of keeping the game of basketball looking right...it's not our fault 2K made the AI so great at defense again.

But no, this mode isn't even close to being what Crew was. It's basically a more refined Rec Center.

I hate playing with guys who only have 3 ppl and my squad has 5. The CPU has insane reaction times that a normal user doesn't have .

Today in pro am game against walk on's we were having a lead comfortably until few guys from opponents left the game. Some crazy steals on the passing lanes (instantly catching the ball flying behind) and making some insane fully contested shots in the crunch time.

So instead a deserved easy victory we barely scrapped it after an overtime (cpu did hit game tying contested 3 in the 4th quarter) .

The cpu should be able to do basic stuff, but not be HOF godly doing everything with insane accuracy.

I'm on X1 AND Pro-AM is not addicted like crew. The not ending the game when people quit and not having a real roster to keep track of stats make it boring for me.
The CPU not a problem for me but when a user quit and there a 85+ cpu, they are a little bit annoying to guard. I do remember 2k saying when players quit there player would get sub out but for some reason a bench is not in the game at all like the proam trailer smh.

2k also need to look at the matchmaking so teams with similar record plays each other. Way too many blow out games leading to teams quitting! Maybe have the matchmaking similar to play now online

You're right, it is stupid and I agree the cpu is kinda ridiculous...

And it seems like the more cpu's on a team, the better they become. Once it's all cpu's it's like they turn super saiyan lol.

But man some people need to chill, and put the blame in the right spots.

Tone down the cpu defense, don't make it where you have to have 5 to start a game and punish everyone else.

I played a fair bit of Pro-Am already, and majority of teams have 4 guys or 3 guys...not much do I see full games of 5v5.

It's not that I dont want. Usually it is that I cant load with 5 people.
If 2K wants to penalize teams not loading with 5, they should tone down the CPU ratings, not play the user out of position.

If you run with 5 players that can't space the floor and know how to move without the ball, that's not my fault. Run with better teammates.

A ton of fastbreaks happen when you have teams that throw up horrible shots, so they deserve to get ran out of the building. And you have to have someone on your team smart enough to hang back when your team puts up a shot so they can have someone back on defense.

Running with 3 is absolutely horrible. Players get bored very quickly when they get matched up against the CPU 2, 3, 4, 5+ games in a row because of lazy teams that want to run with the CPU.

You should be able to run w/ at the minimum 3 players. Used to be 2 in OG crew. But 3 is where it should be. Definitely shouldn't be required to have 5. Rarely have I seen a full 5 in 2K10-11 or now. Most usually like 3. So 2K has it perfect IMO.

The only thing about this year is the CPU actually make shots. 2K11 they couldn't hit a shot for nothing, just play defense.

Honestly the CPU defense was harder to beat back then because they were super psychic and would bump you. This year you kinda can break them down. So I say lower their offense a tad but people usually don't pass the CPU the ball anyways. But leave the defense about the same especially if you're going to make the CPU be 70 overall rated players.

That's why this screen should be brought back, if you have some rare crew that only likes to play against 5 or etc, they could back out and when they see its 3 or 4 players, they can keep searching. But they'll be searching for awhile most likely.
