Fantastic win over Florida and vintage Geezy football right there. You won the battle in the trenches and as you said 90% of the time that will win you the ball game. It was nice to see Fields put together a fantastic outing and Jean...19 touchdowns...i mean i saw the stat lines, but even i didn't realize just how many he was piling up. It is just scary to think what his career stat line will look like when all is said and done even if he does bolt early, which seems a near certainty at this point.

Looking forward to seeing who you draw in the Sugar Bowl!

Yeah I've been having that feeling since day 1 that Jean would only be around for three seasons. My goal for him next season is 100 catches. I don't think I have ever had a 100 catch WR on any video game, NFL or NCAA. We are losing a bunch of receivers and he will really be the only great one. He can have a Michael Crabtree-esque stat line when all is said and done in one of these upcoming seasons (Crabtree had 134 receptions for 1,962 yards and 22 touchdowns in his freshman season).

I really enjoyed the new game plan. I really struggled to run the ball this season and gave up on it too early in games. It just makes the game flow so much better when you get the running game going. It also makes for better defensively play since the offense stays off the field. I was looking back at my defensive rankings at the end of my last season and today and there is such a stark contrast.

These are our rankings last season, just prior to our national title game:

And this is where we were before this past game:

Needless to say, the running game will be a point of emphasis next season.

Wow i knew there had been a drop off but seeing the stark contrast is eye opening..time to get back to those basics.

It shocked me too, it looks terrible side by side. But as you and I both say - this is a good thing. I love the downward fluctuation this season has brought.

That home winning streak is out of this world. Do work against West Virginia!

Fingers crossed for Jean, if not this year definitely next....or maybe both!

Out of curiosity, I decided to look up the longest home win streaks incollege football history. We still have a good ways to go to break the record. Looking at my projected roster for next year, we may not make it happen though.

                  Miami (Florida): 58 games (1985-1994)
                  Alabama: 57 games (1963-1982)
                  Harvard: 56 games (1890-1995)
                  Michigan: 50 games (1901-1907)
                  Nebraska: 47 games (1991-1998)
                  Washington: 44 games (1908-1917)
                  Texas: 42 games (1968-1976)
                  Notre Dame: 40 games (1907-1918)
                  Notre Dame: 38 games (1919-1927)
                  Florida State: 37 games (1992-2001)
                  Yale: 37 games (1904-1908)
                  Yale: 37 games (1900-1903)
                  USC: 36 games (2001-2003)
                  Marshall: 33 games (1995-2000)
                  Nebraska: 33 games (1901-1906)

As for Jean's Heisman, bad news bro.....

Woah. Zero interceptions through the entire season? I don't think I've seen that. EVER.

Still silently following this and getting caught up when I can. Last I checked you were hyping up Ryan Jean in the preseason. REALLY impressed to see how well he did as a frosh.

                        Awesome dynasty you got going.

Yeah that 46 to 0 TD to INT ratio is insane and has to be unprecedented. I too have never seen that; that guy deserves the trophy hands down.

Jean has quickly become the new "face of the dynasty." I am glad I was able to find such a unique player to chauffeur us into this whole "Part II" project. My goal for him next season is 100 catches. Can't wait for the off-season - (spoiler alert), it will be a very interesting one.

I appreciate the compliments and thanks a lot for the reply!

                            BREAKING NEWS

SOURCE: TULANE UNDER INVESTIGATION BY NCAA FOR POSSIBLE RECRUITING VIOLATIONS
Team accused of using women, sex to lure recruits in early years of Coach Geezy's regime | Violations could result in the loss of scholarships | Scandal just the latest blemish on program's once-flawless track record

                            By Gene Wojciechowski, ESPN.com

In what has already been a turbulent year off the field for Tulane just got even more bumpy on Friday, as a source close to the NCAA has indicated to ESPN that the Green Wave football program is under investigation for allegedly using women and sex to attract recruits during the early years of head coach D. Geezy's tenure in New Orleans. According to the same source, it is not apparent if Geezy was aware of the practice, however the team could be forced to forfeit scholarships as early as this coming off-season if violations occurred.

Several females have already come forward to the NCAA, mostly former students.

"Basically, we were asked to give the recruits tours and serve as their 'hostess' for the day and night," said one of the females, who asked to remain anonymous.

"We'd show them around campus, but at night, it was expected that we show the recruits 'a good time' and they would only task attractive females with this hosting role. We'd take them out on dates, and bring them to the dorm rooms, and yadda, yadda, yadda, you know the rest.

"I mean there were interoffice memos from staff saying which girls they wanted with which recruits; it was crazy."

So far this season, Tulane has struggled with recruiting, having signed only five players - 5-star OG Daniel Hall (Victoria, Texas), 3-star RB Buck Johnson (Lake Worth, Florida), 3-star PK Chris Coleman (Riverdale, Georgia), 3-star OLB Chaz Perkins (Midland, Texas), and 3-star TE Aaron Cohen (Riviera Beach, Florida). The NCAA source has indicated that the investigation is expected to be wrapped up in time before Signing Day, and it is speculated that, with only 5 players signed thus far this season despite at least 23 open roster spots to become available, Tulane is already preparing for a significant loss of scholarships.

It has been a tumultuous year for the Tulane football program. Earlier this season, the team saw its defensive coordinator and recruiting coordinator Charles Kelly suspended along with his entire defensive staff for the first 7 games of the season due to the implementation of a bounty program on the defensive side of the ball. And just last month, Geezy was implicated in a possible sex scandal involving FOX Sports reporter Erin Andrews.

The team's roster was already down 7 scholarships this season, for unknown reasons. However it is believed the team self-imposed sanctions earlier this off-season due to the emerging bounty scandal investigation prior to the news becoming public, though the school has neither confirmed or denied those rumors (unlike public/state universities, private universities such as Tulane are not required to disclose self-imposed sanctions to the public).

Tulane is currently preparing to face West Virginia in the Allstate Sugar Bowl next week at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

Check back with ESPN.com for more updates.

Yeah I'm sure one of the Kipers or Mayocks of the world would over-analyze him and pick him apart for something.
