NBA 2K16 on PS4 compared to PC

I think about changing with NBA 2K16 from PC to PS4, mainly because of the advantage to playing in my living room on a bigger screen

Although I'm not quite sure if I wanto to sacrifice my pc-progress, are there big differences betweens the systems (in terms of graphics, bugs and community)?

I don't want to start a flame war about which system is better, so please try to stay friendly with your answers

PS4 doesn't show postgame highlights for games longer than 6 minutes so you should be aware of that. You'll like using the dual shock controller for your stick jockey-ing, just make sure you get cover protectors for the sticks, 2K15 absolutely wrecked my rubber casings. I love using these and they're very cheap: Grip-it Analog Covers

My PC-version doesn't show highlights at all and the 6 minutes fit for the MyTeam games which I'll be playing most of the time

It's 7 minutes on the PS4 for the highlight reel to show.

I have it on both. No real differences up until today...the PS4 just got a massive gameplay patch, so that will change things though. PC will also get that i am presuming.

Only real difference this year are the graphics. If your PC is fast enough and you have the set up, you can run it in 4K.

Obviously, that looks a hell of a lot better than consoles 1080p.

Modding is also very good so far on PC this year....with tons more mods coming.

Could it be that the PS4 community is bigger than the PC one?

I had the feeling that RTTP games start way faster...

I just got a new ps4 after playing 2k on PC for the past 6 years. I much prefer ps4, simply because the graphics are so much better for me. But that's because my computer can't handle the game on PC. Everything so much smoother.

I'm gonna miss the element of being able to mod a bunch of things on PC, but ultimately i prefer console.

If you have a mega wiz bang computer then maybe you'll want to stick to PC?

Other than that, it's the same game.

Plug your pc to your living room tv and play.....

Only advantage consoles may have is less cheaters/hackers online.

Steam Link. Stream your PC games from Steam on your TV with a $50 device. (assuming you a decent home network). Of course, if you don't use Steam for your PC games, nevermind.

Regarding PC version, I've had several versions from 2k9 through 2k15. Modding is much less prevalent last I checked on 2k15. The file structures and encoding changed. not sure if anything has changed for 2k16.

PC version will look crisper if you have a vid card that allows you to crank up anti-aliasing.

PC online community is tiny compared to PS4.

PC if you have the computer to crank it up, mods, or if you don't mind a smaller community.
Console if you want the large community and wider audience.

I went PC because my computer slaughters this game and it's just a little above mid-range (max details and downsampling), and I don't mind the smaller community.

Steam Link is the best option for you.

On PC you got whole community that's working on modding from cyberfaces, arenas, dornas, nets, floor reflections and stuff like that. PC community is really amazing with all the mods, you had derrick rose with mask and high top even before 2K officially made it, if you gotta chance for PC version go for it, i bought PS4 and sold my laptop but now i realize it was a mistake
Yea I gotta second this, the PC version of the game is F.A.R. superior to the console experience at this point, and it's not even close.

Offline, sure, especially if you're on a good computer. Online it takes way longer to find games and there's a large number of cheaters in all game modes. The number of bugs is also way bigger on PC.

Bugs? Please elaborate. I have 0 bugs...I'm playing in 4k with mods for Deron Williams, Dirk, John Wall's new hair is in, George Hill's hair is in, Nik Stauskas's hair is fixed, OJ Mayo's hair is fixed, AD has his tattoo I mean you can talk about the amount players etc etc but at the end of the day when you get in a game, the experience is far superior on PC and like I said, it's not even close...

Lots of people can't start the game still, or it crashes randomly for them. There are tons of online-related bugs, MyTeam related bugs, Pro-AM bugs, ...
