I just played this game for the first time yesterday through the free play weekend on XB1. I really like it and plan on purchasing it today. My question is is there a big difference in console versions? XB1 looks good and plays good but I suspect the PS4 may be the superior version. I have both systems just want to make sure I'm making the right choice...thanks.

Re: Which console is the best?
PS4 has better hardware but this game runs at the same framerate and resolution on both consoles, it really doesn't matter. You don't get any step up in quality/performance unless you go PC. -
Re: Which console is the best?
It's pretty much the same on both. PS4 seems to get the patch updates first. Other than that I would just pick based on how comfortable you are with the console's controller.Xbox Gamertag: Curt Till

I did watch a comparison on youtube and they do look identical imo. Just didn't know if there was any performance issues as far as frame stutters or anything like that. Thanks for your replies guys....Comment

Re: Which console is the best?
lol i just made a seperate post asking the same thing. I should have checked here first. I was very impressed also w/ the free trial on XBO. I was going to get this on BF for ps4 but now I may just get it on XB instead. I had the game on PS4 last year but what I like about the XBO version this year is the way they use the controller Rumble feature. I don't remember the rumble in the PS4 controller last year.Comment

Re: Which console is the best?
Speaking of that, what does all that rumbling mean? Even just bringing the ball up the court my controller is vibrating. Is it just an immersion feature?Comment

If you plan on playing quarter lengths longer than 8 minutes you won't get post game highlites on ps4.2016 NLL Champion Saskatchewan Rush

Re: Which console is the best?
There's no real difference. The fact about hardware doesn't really matter. You wouldn't notice any differenceWhat we know so far about NBA 2K14 - FAQ/QA:

Re: Which console is the best?
If you can grab PC version because of many mods and modding updates, i played 2k for 4 straight yrs on PC before switching to PS4 and i regret it, while PS4 community get early patch, PC community gets custom mods like ads, player cf's, arenas and jerseys updates and all that before 2k officiallyComment

But one advantage of XBox One is you'll get game highlights even when you play games with 7-to-12 minute quarter lengths. For whatever reason, that limitation has carried over from NBA 2K15 to NBA 2K16 on PS4.
That said, I play on PS4 and do 12-minute quarters, and love it.
