PES 2016 Data Pack #2 Arrives on December 3, Plenty of Details Revealed

After apologizing about the PES 2016 roster issues earlier this month, Konami has announced data pack #2 is scheduled to release on December 3, complete with updated rosters covering all moves made until October 19.

The free update also adds new international uniforms for Germany, Italy and Spain, along with Maracana stadium and 51 more updated player likeness faces with more coming in future updates. The update also includes 8 new shoe styles, the new Nike Ordem CSF and Ordem2 balls and new entrance sequences.

Check out the trailer here, along with plenty of new screenshots here.

KONAMI CONFIRMS DATA PACK #2 DETAILS

Konami Digital Entertainment Inc. announced today that the company remains committed to continually evolving the rosters, adding more content and providing new visual elements to the latest addition to the Pro Evolution Soccer franchise, PES 2016. Central to the free download is the addition of the recent reveal of the new international uniforms for Germany, Italy and Spain, which will be made available on Dec. 3.

PES 2016 is world renowned for its stunning recreations of players, with its Team and Player ID systems ensuring its teams and stars both resemble and mimic their real life counterparts. Data Pack #2 adds 51 new likenesses to the player rosters, including Fernando Torres, Kevin de Bruyne, Julian Draxler, Jamie Vardy and Aleksander Mitrovic. Additional players will be added in the coming updates. Along with faces, the rosters will be updated for all offline modes, correcting those missing in the previous Data Pack and covering all moves made until Oct. 19.

For PlayStation 4 and Xbox One users, KONAMI has perfectly recreated the legendary Brazilian Estadio do Maracana venue, and for the first time in the series, it will include a unique pre-match intro sequence showing the exterior, the surrounding city and passionate fans lighting fireworks and flares.

Eight new shoe styles will also be added to the game, including the latest designs from Joma, Mizuno and Puma. The new Nike Ordem CSF and Ordem2 balls designs have also been perfectly replicated for use within the game. Other improvements include new entrance sequences for Copa Libertadores and Sudamericana matches.

More updates for PES 2016 are planned and details will be revealed in the coming weeks.

Maracana looks nice, looks like Roma/Lazio just found a new home. I wish Konami would use the aerial view for pre/post game presentation like in this pic:

That is my main point of criticism; the lack of presentation and content like balls, stadiums, historic kits. Just too shallow in that department. Hopefully we will see the presentation and in game menus get a major overhaul and they will add unlockables like mentioned previously. More of everything konami, take a look at Fifa and NBA2k if you can figure it out your selfs.

Looks good to me. New faces look great, but then again that's one of PES' strong points in terms of graphics.

As an aside, do people really obsess over boots in a football game? Seems like every year they add over 50 new boots in these data packs, and it's one of the things they brag about the most. Meh.

I hope they realize how important presentation is for PES 2017. There's so much they can do where licensing is irrelevant.

Agreed man. We can't expact 2k's pre and post game shows from konami, but they could do so much to make it feel like a true broadcast experience. Hopefully also a better replay option menu, cause imo the users abilty to go around the field in replay mode is lacklustre. And a post game menu a la fifa's where you can select various goals, misses, tackles, etc and watch them. To possibilities are endless, I hope to same goes for PES Productions.

Apparently there is a fly-over of Rio de Janeiro and the Maracana when you play in that stadium. Sounds great, good first step!

This has been said every year for however long Pro Evo has been a thing it seems like. They've made strides, and it seems like they got gameplay near perfect and just need to work in fouls with the awesome physics engine. But it usually seems like a long-shot that they ever pour into the presentation department and starting nailing the audio crowd and commentary details among other things those games do so well.

Very nice. I imagine it's a preview of what next year's PES will have with all stadiums. Let's just hope they add more

Probably won't happen, but that would be cool. All it is is an animated cinematic opening, so it's definitely doable. Little things like that would go a long way towards making the presentation elements at least respectable compared to FIFA.

Never bothered about kits, stadiums and presentation when I was on pc.
Always defended the game, all my friends play FIFA,thought they were morons for playing that arcade game.

But since I switched to Xbox 360,started to get annoyed with the lack of stadiums, kills a ML in my opinion.
Having Serie A and B playing on 9 stadiums, kills it for me.

Now that I've moved on to Xbox one (have 15 and 16 on 360) there's no way in he'll I'm buying it for XB1.
                          Reason for that?
That Konami didn't allow us Xbox players to import kits badges etc,I think it's so low,no respect for a big part of the gaming community.
Talk about disrespecting your own klients.

If they release a 17 with decent presentation, option to import kits/badges, at least 20-30 stadiums to use in all game modes,or stadium creator,ll be back.
Until then it's FIFA for me,to bad, cause I've always loved the feel of the game, but somewhere along this journey you have get off.
Konami is so out of touch with what players want,a good gameplay isn't enough anymore,at least not for me.
                          Take care y'all
It's not Konami's fault that Xbox one doesn't have image importing, it's Microsoft. Everything else you have a valid point but it's Microsoft's fault their system can't import images.
