Does homefield advantage matter in CFM, especially in playoffs aside from financial income?

The only effect I notice is crowd noise. There might be an under the hood confidence boost but in my experience I don't really notice it if something is there.

I've noticed a huge difference in penalties (default settings) between my home and away games. I'm seeing the home teams get 0-1 penalties per game, and the away teams get 3-5 penalties per game with 7 min quarters.

Player performance seems to be a little worse, as well. Most noticeably, QB accuracy seems to be affected.

Same for me with QB's it seems to effect younger guys more. Experienced QB's like Brady or Roethlisberger does not get affected as much but still a bit and will have wild passes when not at home

Wouldn't surprise me if this is linked to the consistency rating... it would be so cool if that was the case! Gives that stat a whole new meaning other than game prep!

Consistency only affects the amount of xp a player earns.

Consistency only affects the amount of xp a player earns.

But in the past with DPP it affected more than this.
DPP is gone, but I wouldn't be surprised if some of that old code survived

I think there is a whole heck of a lot of placebo effect going on in here.

If Madden had home field advantage programmed into the game, they would mention that. They would have advertised it.

They aren't some video game company that makes RPGs and has hidden easter eggs for you to find. They aren't going to hide home field advantage and never say anything about it.
