I'm really happy for people who are excited about accessories, and shoes in particular. I can't muster more than a cynical eye roll, however. Feels more in line with the pop ups reminding me about 20% off VC or the occasional hashtagged watermark I can't get rid of in my offline game.

More of a silly marketing ploy than a major event, but at least it's making some players happy.

As an accessory/sneaker head, I certainly would have been satisfied with an in game update about the shoe being added.
This big drama is far from aimed at us and is just another ride on the hype train...

Sometimes I think 2K has become 'too big' and the PR guys arrogant as a result.

Hyping 12/12 .....for that? Does anyone even care about a digital version of Kyrie's shoe?

If you are going to hype something, make it a new game mode or a major upgrade to an existing mode etc.

Not hype something that is essentially paid advertising.

And the shoe isn't that special. It's basically the KD IV's made with the same material as the Kyrie I's.
