Can anyone here help with this? Upon leaving an online CFM game, the game seems to be hanging on the revolving football backdrop.

Am I SOL here? Is there a way to get this to catch and save my game?

Just in case anyone is interested, I can officially confirm this decrepit video game still hasn't corrected the ridiculous scores from force wins. Yet another mechanism touted as a feature and implemented with the competency of child programmers.

This game fails to produce accurate statistics. QB's are either God-like or drunk fools. Backs average one yard a carry or holes exist the size of the Grand Canyon. The game is such that it's impossible to create a truly immersive, simulation style multiplayer environment because player skill trumps all and we can't individualize sliders or settings. Yet, the single player game is completely lacking in adequate features.


Sports games of this era should allow us to create our own universe. We should control the league as we see fit. This game absolutely infuriates me because football is a real joy of mine. I hope others are as impassioned as I am and have deep rooted resentment towards this franchise for an unacceptable product. From the little reading I do here, I gather I'm not alone.

Cut out all the mandatory glitz and glimmer. Your Quarterback video packages were cool perhaps the first night. Now I can't even skip through them. Give the sim community - give football fans a game we can enjoy. We know it's possible as it exists across every other sports genre and even within EA itself.

Long Live Madden! I've bought every copy since '99, and want to do so for the foreseeable future. I won't just give over my money for '17 though. They'll have to earn it.

I installed the patch last night. I play coach mode exclusively. My very first game, my guy on the opening kickoff ran it back for a TD! Four years into chise and never seen anything close. The tackling animations seem a tad more fluid, not as pinballish. Running backs seem to hit holes with better vision and break tackles a bit more at my specific settings.

Anyone else feel that kick returners are stuck in mud post patch? I felt that the kickoff return game was pretty good before the last patch and produced realistic stats/results. Now it seems the same returners are slower than everyone else on the field. I'm having trouble even getting back to the 20.

I thought Draft Champions was a good idea, but it's better suited to a game that operates better during gameplay. I mean, how can you not be concerned (if not angry) with them devoting all of this time (WITH upgrade patches) to another mode when the core game of football on the field has so many glaring issues? It's already bad enough that MUT gets so much resource, adding another mode like this just doesn't help the situation at all.

The media is so docile with the Madden devs. I don't understand why one of these guys won't just ask "So, the o-line blocking AI has had the same issue of missing obvious assignments since Madden 06. Why has this been a problem for so long? What are you doing to address this problem? And when, if ever, can we expect it to be fixed?"

It's a fair question because this one problem alone is gamebreaking, people lose games because of this problem. It's a football game, shouldn't football work? It would be like if you had an NHL game and the goalie just decided not to make saves regularly. You probably wouldn't care much about another mode connected to a pay-to-play system of all things when something so fundamental to the sport is fatally flawed.

I don't know. Just don't understand how this can be looked as an example of them "going in the right direction" (I'm so tired of hearing that line) when the very effort being put into this mode is a diversion from fixing core football in a football game...

Well, there has been a glitch since the beginning where everybody starts running super slow on kickoff returns. Multiple patches now, still there.

I was having that issue early on this release cycle. I had my game saved on an external HD, and when i moved it all back local, the problem went away.

Also, i only do solo online cfm's, my games were still being saved.

I have since moved my game saves back to the external drive, haven't had a problem in quite some time.

Not sure what you are referring to on this one? Can you explain more?

Pretty much exactly like I said. Before, you could adjust 1 position, like DB press vs DB press AND DL crash middle. If you tried to do a second unit adjustment the prior adjustment reverted, i.e. your DBs moved back when you crashed middle your DL, couldn't do both.

I really wish there was some rule against bumping really old threads like this. I got excited there was a new Madden update for a second, and thought maybe the ridiculous CFM force win scores would be fixed.

You make it sound like its from Madden 10. It's a clarification of the current patch.
