On SS the CPU takes that drive path (least resistance) because its easier, and it can react faster than you can for the most part. Mixing in the occasional zone will force this type of movement on SS at times, but over use of the zone, against CPU, with non-elite defenders, will get you shot out of the gym fast.
This is correct. The cpu has the ratings boost so they react quicker and what would otherwise result in cutting off penetration in Pro or All Star, becomes an open lane for the cpu on this level. I just switched to playing on Superstar so still adapting to the way the cpu plays. Have to strategize. Also, to make matters worse, and with this understanding in mind, there are times when the game operates at near supersonic speeds outside of Synergys influence. If any one recalls I had the same problem last year (though less pronounced this year). I have noticed a correlation to room temperature fluctuations when this phenomenon occurs. This is one issue, amongst others, that leads me to focuse on the Ps4 ( or perhaps MY Ps4) as being the culprit. As is, when the game is operating this way, the cpu players (though not restricted to the cpu since all players on the court, including the human team, move at the same quasi warp speed) can zip around the court almost unimpeded leading to more instances of subpar ball movement! You mix this effect with Superstars boosted ratings and well, you get the picture.
