inbound plays

i noticed that there are inbound plays available for mid range & threes in the plays list within the roster editor. however, no team playbooks that i've seen have any of them included in their playbooks. wat.

anyway, i'm wondering how i'm supposed to call these plays during a timeout while i have them in my playbook (added to my playbook, that is).

You call them while you're inbounding the ball.

Im not sure why, but the icon passing mechanic stops working on plenty of inbounds plays for no apparent reason.

Yeah, it's buggy...

The best way to make icon passing work during inbound plays, is tapping R1/RB once, way before the referee's whistle to make icons appear. Then you can make the icon pass.

Yeah inbounds have been way too unreliable for me because of this. It's a shame because I get a guy with an open shot a decent amount of the time.

Make sure you bring down the POE menu first, before inbounding the ball. It won't let you choose Icons to pass the ball in, if it's up. That always get me a 5 second call or close to it. I'll be tapping the pass button, with no results then look up & the POE menu is still up in the corner, not allowing me to pass the ball in.

Even if you don't get a clean look for your PG, after you catch the ball your PF and SF will set a double screen at the top of the key for the pick and pop. I love this play so many options.
