Is it cheating???
So I am in the process of changing the Jets over from a 3-4 to a 4-3 in order to take advantage of their stud d line and get all 4 lineman on the field. But the generic 4-3 playbook is crap. So ive been thinking of using the bengals or seahawks 4-3 playbooks. would that be wrong I feel like using another teams book is wrong.

Re: Is it cheating???
Both my offensive and defensive playbooks show in order and without any of the usual wonkiness. My starters are even correctly introduced as being a 4-3 front.
Not sure what I did differently to make it work so well.Comment

Re: Is it cheating???
When teams take other teams coordinators they essentially take that teams playbook. I wouldn't use every teams playbook against them but it's likely that the jags have a similar playbook to Seattle IRL as the coach was Seattle's DC.So I am in the process of changing the Jets over from a 3-4 to a 4-3 in order to take advantage of their stud d line and get all 4 lineman on the field. So I don't think it's a cheat to use a different playbook.
I change playbooks on a yearly basis to simulate changing coordinators..not every year.
But if one side of the ball is bad I'll try something new, and sometimes you pickup a guy in the draft that changes the style of ball you want to play.

Re: Is it cheating???
i have a custom def playbook. it has various 3-4, 3-3-5/2-4-5/psycho nickel, big dime 2-3-6 sam, dollar, qtr and goaline iirc. i want my best 11 players on the field and ill use whichever formation achieves that as base. when i had a plethora of excellent mlbs i used 4-3 stack and manually subbed olbs for des, 2 best dline as dts, and 3 mlbers as the lbs making a 2-5-4, that was certainly interesting

Re: Is it cheating???
Not necessarily. It all depends on the team they go to, the Quarterback they have etc. Sometimes a head coach will already have a system in place and the OC will adapt to that system (which can be a disaster), other times they tailor a playbook to the team they have.Comment

Re: Is it cheating???
Comments on Cheating get to me a bit.... How we define cheating is the question...
To me...
Cheating = Doing something to manipulate code or gameplay to make the game play outside its intended programming
Cheese = Playing in a style that the game allows but others deem as taking advantage of the games weaknesses..
The best online players are almost always deemed by others as Cheesy ... They are playing a video game as a video game.
Using another playbook is neither of these... You are the coach... Use whatever plays you want.Tiger 14 (Xbox 360)... Total Online Play Country Club...
