Oh my god. Do you guys remember NFL Football for the NES? That was the worst football game ever. It made some plays zoom in and look bigger like doule dribble did for dunks but the games was sooooo garbage.Playing NBA 2K feels like a job that pays minimum wage and then cuts your pay when you get your Bill's right to make it even harder to succeed. I do not like this game but it's the only one in town.
At cheese, I'm trash. At basketball, I'm great!

There was a game on SNES that was football, I can't remember the name. But it had high school football, college and pro. It was not an awful game but the gameplay angle was from above and titled at 45 degrees. For offense all I could was run and screen passes because it was impossible to see receivers down the field. If anyone can remember this game please help me on the title. For college teams some had real names ,it many had similar generic games. For example duke was fluke, and Dartmouth was smart mouth.Currently playing: (In order of Most Time)
CFB 25 Dynasties Mississippi St, Minnesota, UNC, Missouri, Pitt
Forza Motorsport
Star Wars OutlawsComment

Jordan vs Bird. I was still fairly little when that came out, but I loved to see those guys play basketball. So that was a BIG one for me as my parents rarely bought me a video game for Christmas as a kid. I kinda wish they hadn't.Comment

Was this football game for Sega CD I believe it was. Cant remember the name but you actually didnt play. You call a play then it would play some real life football play. Shelved the game after about 10 minutes and never looked back. Will post the name when I can think of it.It’s easier to do the right thing, than to explain why you didn’t.Comment

LOL @ NES Play Action Football (the first one)... first thing that came to mind when I saw this topic. I played the hell out of that game tho, using the NES Satellite 4-player adapter. We even emulated that touchdown run/celebration a couple times in our HS games.Last edited by thaSLAB; 12-28-2015, 03:00 PM.Comment

WWF ATTITUDE for Dreamcast. Game had some interesting ideas like hearing the crowd's remarks during a match and hearing some of the wrestler's catchphrases during a match, but this game was garbage. Clunky is an understatement. Best thing about it, had SHANE O MAC on commentaryComment

I remember getting ESPN Sunday Night NFL football for Genesis, now it wasn't a bad game in fact that it had a lot of the ESPN bells and whistles at the time was pretty cool, the only problem was I was so looking forward to Madden 94.
The 16 bit ESPN baseball and hockey weren't all that bad though, but the Sunday Night NFL just wasn't Madden.Comment

Sierra Sports NFL Football Pro '99. Football Pro 96 and 98 were great classic games and 99 was suppose to make the leap into 3D graphics. It failed miserably. It was so bad the game was actually recalled by the publisher. When was the last time a publisher recalled a sport game?Comment

oddly enough I still find myself humming the video replay hook followed by the 'crowd noise' after seeing an extra point kicked to this day.Comment
