2016 Wild Card Round: #6 Pittsburgh Steelers @ #3 Cincinnati Bengals
Ugh we choked our way out of the bye this year and of all the ****ing teams to play in the first round, it's Pittsburgh. I am going to root for my team and predict a win, but ****ing damnit I hate this matchup and am not optimistic with Andy Dalton likely being out.Tags: None -

Re: 2016 Wild Card Round: #6 Pittsburgh Steelers @ #3 Cincinnati Bengals
Mccarron has held his own fairly well so far. He can't run the offense like Dalton, but he's no slouch.
If the defense shows up, and the ground game can do anything, they should be fine.

Don't worry cima... trust in AJ. I said he was going Brady on Dalton's career. That starts next weekend.Comment

This does raise a question. Let's say Mccarron plays really well and gets the win vs PIT, and then Dalton is 100%.
Do they start Dalton in the next week? I can't see them not starting him, but we'll see.

Even if McCarron somehow beats Pitt, Dalton will start no matter what if he's healthy.

Lol I wish but that won't happen. At least it's at Cincy though.

Re: 2016 Wild Card Round: #6 Pittsburgh Steelers @ #3 Cincinnati Bengals
If the Bengals are ever going to get over the hump, a win over Pittsburgh would be perfect. I hate the matchup though considering the Bengals secondary is banged up and the Steelers have great receivers. Eifert being back is huge on offense for AJ. I'll be optimistic and say 23-20 Cincinnati, but I expect Pittsburgh to win by a touchdown.Cincinnati Reds University of Kentucky Cincinnati Bengals

Oof. This is a tough matchup for the Bengals. That Pittsburgh offense is tough to deal with (though Baltimore somehow did). If DeAngelo can't go, that'll be huge for Cincy.XBL: Mean Greene

Re: 2016 Wild Card Round: #6 Pittsburgh Steelers @ #3 Cincinnati Bengals
Just realized this is almost identical to the 2005 season 10 years ago. Manning is the #1 seed. Bengals are #3 and hosting #6 Pittsburgh. New England is in here as well. We won @ Pitt and lost to Pitt @ Cincy in 05, just like in 2015.
Only difference is our starting QB is already out injured yet was injured against Pitt...lol. I will say though, it would be extremely fitting to exercise our demons 10 years later against the same team that derailed our best team's (since 88) chances of winning it all.Comment

exorcise
Anyways, Bengals in primetime is almost always a L in my opinion. That being said I saw a stat that shows Big Ben is a lot more careless with the ball and has a higher INT% late in the season. That seems a little strange to me but there you go. Seeing as how Pittsburgh basically has no run game now the pressure is definitely going to be on Ben to put the ball up. If the Bengals secondary can play well they have a fighting chance.
I like AJ McCarron a lot and would like to see him get the W. I'm sure it'd cause a huge QB controversy if Dalton comes back the next week and stinks it up. Anywho, I can see this being a close game.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Does playing a playoff game at 8:20 make it tougher than playing it at 4:25? They're both the only game on TV at the time...Comment

I'll take the Steelers over the Bengals, if Williams plays. If he doesn't I think it's a toss up.Comment
