The upgrade is complete, but you've probably noticed the forums are only showing posts up to about April 8. Posts made after that are still in the process of being moved over, and that should take another week or two. Feel free to start a new thread.
The site might feel a little slow while work continues. Engineers are staying on it through the night to get things moving faster again. Thanks for your patience.

The bias is strong with this one. I'll take him myself.
Come on 2k Melo should at least be a 89 or 90
Melo
2013: 24.8 PER, 56 TS% on 35.6 USG% (Lead league in USG)
2014: 24.4 PER, 56 TS% on 32.4 USG%
2015: 21.5 PER, 53 TS% on 32.2 USG%
2016: 20.7 PER, 53 TS% on 30.0 USG%
Small Forwards
94 - LeBron James (26.7 PER)
93 - Kevin Durant (28.6 PER)
92 - Kawhi Leonard (27.1 PER)
89 - Paul George (21.3 PER)
87 - Carmelo Anthony (20.7 PER)
The fact that Melo is even that high exemplifies 2K's generosity.
and DWill is a 75 he is scoring 15 points a game
Wat
one bad game from Prozingis and he a 79 SMH.
Porzingis is shooting 35% over his last 15 games. Hyperbole works both ways.
and last Lopez is a 78 he is killing in the paint blocking and scoring
Robin Lopez was straight garbage up until 5 games ago. He has since gone up 2 OVR in conjunction with his elevated play.
if Sash has not played how do u go from 68 to 64
.....Kudos on typing the most homerific statement of 2016. If you are defending Sasha Vujacic's play (4.9 PER, 36 TS%, a healthy 315 minutes) you hereby revoke all claim to being a Knicks fan.

Maybe this is just me being a c's fan but i feel crowder is criminally underrated on D. 68 lat quick and 62 shot contest yet he's one of the best defenders on our team. Just don't understand that
Shot Contest isn't that big a deal since Crowder isn't a shot blocker.
On the other hand, 90 Pass Perception (position average: 67) is pretty significant.
Pass Perception
95 Paul Millsap
95 Rajon Rondo
95 Kyle Lowry
95 Stephen Curry
94 Anthony Davis
92 Russell Westbrook
92 Draymond Green
92 John Wall
90 LeBron James 90 Jae Crowder
90 Ricky Rubio

Carmelo Anthony,
1.) how does Melo passing vision goes down and this is the best passing season of his career so far ????
1. Melo had a better passing season in 2012.
2. 2K updates ratings regularly which means Melo likely had a decrease in assist rate.
3. 70 Passing Vision to 20.2 AST% means Melo is rated above scale (i.e. he is overrated).
Passing Vision
71 Jerian Grant (21.8 AST%)
71 Jose Calderon (21.5 AST%)
70 Carmelo Anthony (20.2 AST%)
Welp
2.) Why 2k never touched his (Melo) FT ratings yet? dude is at a 79 since release day. has been at 88% for first 2 months of season and now is at 84%
FT% is outdated for most players. Typically, this gets updated league-wide in one fell swoop.

are they actually updating TENDENCIES or just ratings? rating updates without tendency updates is literally worthless.
Not true in the slightest; online play has always been the primary goal of the ratings updates. Not especially helpful to offline players, but "literally" "worthless"?

It seems the T-Wolves rebounding ratings have a problem.
Pekovic was dropped to a 41 REB DEF rating despite not playing this season. Garnett is now a 45 in DEF REB, Dieng a 47.
Also, Zach LaVine has a 88 RDEF, Muhammad 81, Rubio 78 which doesn't make sense in my opinion.
Nice catch. These appear to be major data entry typos that 2K will likely fix upon review.
2K's rebound ratings have largely been PERFECT this season as this is the first year ever they have actually followed their own scales across the board. As such I would dismiss this as an aberration that should be rectified shortly (i.e. when it is noticed)... of course, if it's not, you know who to go after.

I don't know WHY I decided to test my theory. The Pacers DO have the biggest gap between their "Star" player and the next "best" player. Not only that, if you take Paul George off the Pacers team, they are or close to becoming the worse team in the league. Basically, the Pacers are the 2006-2007 Lebron-led Cavs team...which is an historic team, lol.
While I would consider all of the rotation players underrated...
76 Monta
76 Hill
76 Miles
75 Mahinmi
74 Hill
73 Stuckey
69 Allen
67 Budinger
...I wouldn't rate any of those players 80 OVR either. It's a testament to Vogel that the team lost Hibbert/West and is still 3rd defensively (I have not seen nearly enough to know how much credit lies at the feet of the likes of Monta Ellis and Jordan Hill, and 2K's cautious approach is not without precedent).

Confusing update for just about everybody, I'll just complain about Bosh a little bit because I don't see how his rating could go down when he's having the best stretch of his Heat career. Over the last 10 games, he's averaging 25/8/3 on 50% FG and 45% from 3 and there's an even bigger sample size to how good he's been this season.
That's fine - he held an 85 OVR rating despite an especially mediocre November.

They moved away from a funneling players to the rim protector type defense, to one where they play the passing lanes and look for deflections. Poor man's version of the Miami Heat's swarming defense when they had Lebron.
