In game drill - points bizarre

Is this system badly flawed or just random.

In my sleepy state I ran the linebacker tackle drill on my LOLB - he got silver and 125 points - on the next set I got blocked three times and failed with three reds - and got 237 points?

Think I need to fail some more!

This seems to be common throughout the leagues I am in as well. The medal received doesnt seem to matter all that much. Dev trait and consistency are the only things that seem to really have an effect at all.

      even then it is random

coach has exp trait, qb 99 consistency, sometimes bronze gave 50 + more points than gold

Coach trait, dev trait, consistency, and drill result all have an effect, but there is a large randomness factor applied to each one of them. You can actually see roughly how much each factor contributes to the amount of XP you earned with the multi-colored blue bar at the bottom right of the screen when you see your results. The first color is how much you got due to your coach (which includes a large randomness factor), second is how much you got because of your dev trait (including a large randomness factor), etc.

That's why you still get a decent amount of points if you fail... it's only one of four factors. If the other three factors had an unusually favorable dice roll, you can get more points with a worse drill result. But just consider it luck and go for the gold next time

I've found that if I succeed in every rep of the drill, I end up with more points. Otherwise, failing one rep seems to be as bad as failing the drill altogether. Just my observation. Definitely needs to be changed

I guess those folks must really have nothing to do.

What blows my mind is there is no repeat option.. Loading takes more time than actually playing the game
