      Jip. {whispering softly} 49ers fan here {stop whispering}
Was hoping the Steelers can make it 7 as I've slowly started becoming a big Roethlisberger fan. But now wants the Patriots to win it all again just because I feel for a team to be "the team to beat" for more than 10 years behind the same coach and QB is really amazing. And if there is a QB that deserves to win another SB it's Brady IMO.

I mean how many years in his career did he have one of the superstar WR's? Probably only one with Moss in 2007.

Rooting for the Broncos. Only because I enjoy parity. Don't need to see the Pats in another Super Bowl for at least another 100 years. If only the Chiefs believed in offense...

Here are some numbers from PFF worth taking a look at.

The Broncos Pressured Roethlisberger on 47.5% of his dropbacks. Tom Brady was pressured on just 16.3% of his dropbacks vs KC.

Broncos pressured Tom Brady on 18 dropbacks (40%) in Wk 12. On those pressured plays Brady's completion percentage was 26.7.

Patriots O-line has averaged 12.1 total pressures surrendered in games that Edelman played. 15.1 in games where he did not.

Tom Brady's time to throw average dropped from 2.55 seconds in games without Edelman down to 2.19 seconds in Saturday's game. Big change.

So basically Tom Brady will have to release the ball quickly to negate the Broncos pass rush. #analysis

This is more like Brady vs the Denver pass rush than Brady vs Manning.

However, that bodes well for Denver. They'll have a good shot of winning if they can consistently pressure Tom.

I'll take NE to win though as their offense is a well oiled machine when relatively healthy.

It depends. If carolina makes it I like to see Brady put up 50 on them in the superbowl and make cam get his wolipop and cry.

I also like to see Manning go out with a superbowl but also like to see Fitzgerald get one as well.

Basically I dont care who wins as long as the Panthers go home.

If there is one "knock" against Brady it is that sometimes he gets visibly bothered by the pass rush if there is pressure.

I know that describes most QBs, but with Brady it is weird. Seventy-five percent of the time he is like a machine in the pocket (I totally did not pull that number out of my ***), but once in a while it seems like he gets more frustrated than some other QBs.

Those are the times people point out how much he cries to the refs and other things. I don't know that there is any kind of pattern to it, it seems like sometimes he just randomly does not handle pressure as well as he normally does.

Of course there have been times where one quarter he is flustered and ineffective, but then the next quarter he moves up and down the field and throws 2 TD passes.

It will be interesting to see if Denver's defense can disrupt the timing. I've never seen a QB as dangerous as Brady in a rhythm.

What's your beef with Cam Newton?

I will say this about Cam and the Super Bowl. Two weeks of listening to everyone and their mother give an opinion on the way he carries himself on the field does not sound like a good time. What will make things even worse is the Super Bowl is covered by more than just the usual sports media. So you can count on some really dumb commentary.

Still, that's not enough for me to not want the Panthers to win on Sunday.

I'm in the same boat as Candy but my reason are the panthers fans that I'm Facebook friends with. They are extremely annoying and I'd love to see them lose.

Had a relative go to Auburn. We went there on a open campus thing for a week. Cam was a complete POS to anyone that wasnt in his "clique". Every since then my hate for him has been strong.

Teams in NFL history that lead the league in net passing yards per attempt against and rushing yards per attempt against:

                            - 1987 Bears
                            - 1991 Eagles
                            - 2008 Steelers
                            - 2015 Broncos

Historically great defense + HFA + game-manager Manning should be enough to see Denver through.

Only one of those teams even made the SB, let alone won it. Small sample, but I don't think that means much for Denver.

I did a wee-bit of cherry-picking, so naturally there's a smaller sample. But other teams with Denver's profile have won the Super Bowl.

Fivethirtyeight, Football Outsiders, and Sagarin all have Denver favored in this game.

I just think the Denver bearishness is a little off-base. That's all.
