A missed extra point?! What in the world! A solid win though over what was a much better than expected Auburn team. McCollum was a one man wrecking crew out there in the fourth quarter. I am pretty sure they would have built a state to him if he had helped the team pull off that upset.

Despite the fourth quarter near disaster, still a very solid game from Williams who looks to be settling into the new offense nicely.

Definitely more than a little worried about the running game, especially in the next game which at the very least will be against a very decent Arkansas squad.

The pictures continue to look fantastic by the way, I am very nearly sold on the capture device.

I hate to place blame on the player, but I must say this kicker is killing me. Maybe I'm just not used to having a kicker with only 81 kac after years of having near-perfect studs at the position, but unless my controller work is perfect, this guy shanks kicks. On this one, I got lazy and just flicked the controller like I always have, and I paid the consequences for it. I've had kickers in the past that wouldn't miss extra points even if I was trying to. He's also missed several field goals this season; I guess my kick accuracy slider being at 25 with a kicker rated this low makes things more difficult. Or maybe the user is just getting old and his stick skills are declining.

With all that said...I must say it is refreshing to actually be missing kicks finally.

Yeah when I imposed the two game suspensions, for some reason I thought they'd be missing the Auburn and Kentucky games (hence me having to edit the article announcing the suspensions lol). If I had known it was Arkansas, ol' Coach Geezy may have been a little less strict.

I am really enjoying the capture card and just how easy the setup was. It feels so much quicker doing photos now and they look so much crisper now. Plus no more worrying about the lighting in the room, and no more worrying about snapping photos at the perfect angle with my I-phone. I highly recommend this device.

As always, thanks for the feedback!

Yep...still a lot of football to be played.

USC plays Notre Dame and UCLA, so at least two of those three teams will be eliminated. I'm worried about Oklahoma and Georgia Tech though. Should be a fun race to the finish line in the second half of the season!

Game 7, Year 11 Preview (2020 season): Arkansas Razorbacks at #8 Tulane Green Wave

                GAME 7 PREVIEW

                Courtesy

2019: QB Preston Fields was hit as he threw and his pass fell into the waiting arms of Razorbacks DT Mike McDaniel who rumbled his way to an 11-yard touchdown that made the score 48-14 late in the third quarter and all but ended any faint hopes of a Green Wave comeback.

Last Meeting: In what was one of the biggest shockers of the 2019 college football season, the unranked Arkansas Razorbacks absolutely demolished then-#1 ranked Tulane 62-27 last year in frigid Fayetville. Just one week after the top-ranked Green Wave knocked off #2 Alabama at home, the Wave ended up being victims of the proverbial "trap game" as the Razorbacks opened up a 31-0 second quarter lead. Former Tulane QB Preston Fields threw 4 interceptions on the day, including two returned for touchdowns, and Arkansas then-sophomore RB Fred Ward was unstoppable that afternoon, rushing 26 times for 186 yards while adding 4 receptions for 39 yards and a touchdown. The 35-point loss margin was the largest ever for Tulane under head coach D. Geezy and ended a 40-game regular season winning streak for the Green Wave.

2018: Green Wave QB Jamie Manning's 6-yard touchdown pass to sophomore TE Mario Levine made the score 35-14 with 1:52 remaining, essentially putting the game away.

Last Meeting at Venue: Former Tulane star QB Jamie Manning continued to display his mastery of head coach D. Geezy's offense, completing 20 of his 22 passes for 252 yards and 4 touchdowns with 0 interceptions in a virtually flawless performance, as the Green Wave rolled past Arkansas 35-21 in 2018 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. Wave senior RB Brett Curtis also had a terrific day, carrying the ball 13 times for 130 yards, including an 80-yard third quarter touchdown run that extended his team's lead to 28-3. Razorbacks QB Tyler Martin had a good day despite the loss, finishing 20 of 26 for 291 yards and 1 touchdown with no interceptions.

                Starting Lineups/Key Players:

Time to avenge last year. Needless to say, I don't think the team will be looking past this one. Arkansas seems to always play you close regardless of record so hopefully you can put this one away early and not even give them a hope. Holy cow that free safety of theirs looks good....stay away from that. Good luck my friend!

We've had this one marked on our calendars ever since the final whistle of last season's game. We owe those guys something. They've ruined two our last few seasons. They look pretty good on paper. Not spectacular, but solid.

My mouth watered when I saw those CBs rated in the 70s, but once I saw that free safety, my jaw dropped. I was looking forward to making plays over the top, but I will have to be extra-cautious with him roaming back there.

                      Tulane | Surprise green-out
                      Sat, 3 Oct 2020 8:16:09 -0700
Tammy Nunez of the New Orleans Times Picayune reports that Tulane will wear its alternate, all-green jerseys for their game versus Arkansas later today. Traditionally only worn during his tenure for rivalry games at home, Tulane head coach D. Geezy indicated that the decision to break out the all-green jerseys was done for motivation as his team looks to avenge last season's shocking 62-27 loss in Fayetville versus the Razorbacks.

The decision was made earlier in the week and was kept under wraps from the players, who are only just now learning of the decision as they arrive to the stadium this morning.

Arkansas' defeat of then-#1 Tulane was their second time defeating the Green Wave when they were ranked first in the nation, the other time coming in 2015 when former Wave RB Reggie Moore was tackled just short of the goal line on the game's final play (a two-point conversion) in a 38-37 loss in Fayetville. Their only loss that season, the defeat kept them from playing in their first ever BCS National Championship Game.
