Using Spreadsheets in CFM
I've seen a good number of people talk about using spreadsheets or excel to enhance, track or be more efficient in their CFM.

I am not sure I know how to attach this properly but here is a file I take no credit for- others on here posted this a while back and I am not sure who to give credit to. I have added a few things along the way. Sorry if this does not work.Attached Files -

Offline CFM 32-team control spread sheet. I plan on keeping this even when I create a new franchise in M17. That's why I named my seasons by 1, 2, and 3...
Feel free to use it. No credit needed.

Re: Using Spreadsheets in CFM
Late last year I built a spreadsheet for tracking Win Probability Added and Expected Points Added during games I play. I use this to help figure out what players are actually helping me succeed in my offense, beyond first-level statistics such as yards and touchdowns, which can be misleading. I use this data to help me make roster moves in the offseason. I can also figure out which players are making plays in high-leverage situations to help me identify who my most reliable guys are.
Unfortunately, it's a bit tedious to use - I have to input the result of every play, and if you're like me and attempt to do this in real time after every play run in the game, it can make the gameday experience kinda hectic. The alternative is to log everything post-game, but my fear of the EA servers disconnecting my online CFM games has not taking that route, haha. I did get it to automatically handle down, distance, and changes in field position following scoring plays, however, which makes it somewhat manageable.
Also, I built this spreadsheet in OS X Numbers 09 so it's not something I can easily share, unfortunately.
I hope that Tiburon takes a step forward in their stat tracking and adds these second-level stats to the game at some point; however, given that the whole field of NFL analytics is so new, I'm not sure what timeframe I can reasonably expect to see it in the game.Comment
