Yeah, they arent handing out codes anymore. Also there is no demo so the earliest people will see the game is on March 10 when the game is released on EA Access.Comment

I'm hoping that I'm going to get a copy of the game the first week of March but if not I'll be rolling with Access even though I plan to play exclusively on the ps4.Comment

Re: EA Sports UFC 2 Beta Available, Post Your Impressions Here
I've noticed a couple things against the CPU.
1) They can go on runs where they parry 6 to 8 strikes in a row no matter if u mix it up or not.
2) How do you tell which side to defend when they have your back in the sitting position? I can deny it staring at the icon but can't figure out from the hand fighting which direction they are going without the icons off. They are simply fighting with your hands so the "tell" I can't figure out.Last edited by aholbert32; 02-06-2016, 03:46 PM.Comment

There was one really neat thing I noticed in the beta that I think I forgot to mention. A few times when someone was throwing one of the crazier spinning kick I happened to go for a takedown (or maybe it was a grapple) partway through their attempt. When you do that your fighter will basically just shove your opponent to the ground. Really cool that they included that.Teams: Minnesota Vikings, Cincinnati Reds, Marshall Thundering Herd, Virginia Tech Hokies (2010 alum)Comment

I like the game overall, just not a fan of the ground game, which seems to be how a lot of people feel about it.
will be interesting to see the differences between the beta and retail.
all in all I will buy, nothing is perfectComment

I don't see what you are seeing. On this board, I've seen 4-5 people say they don't like the ground game and half of them say they like it but they think there are issues with denials. On the UFC board it's damn near universal that people prefer the new ground game.Comment

I have issues with some of the denials too. I just cant see how someone could prefer the ground game from UFC 1 or other games to this. The only one that compares in my opinion is UFC 3 and thats more because of the moves that were available. Things like butterfly guard and the ability to scoot to the cage and then wall walk are things the EA UFC series needs.Comment

Not sure I like the way the judging logic favors accuracy, which is not a real life judging criteria. Had online fights where I soundly outlanded my opponent but lost because I was busier and he was more accurate.
Meanwhile, reading this post about parries, something caught my eye:
Wait, how are you throwing feints? I know about the takedown feint (press all 4 shoulder buttons), but much of the time I can't get it to work.Comment

I like the game overall I've said, it's a step in the right direction everywhere, I've never said ufc 1 was better.Comment
