I realize this is super nitpicky but one thing that has always driven me nuts is that special uniform patches remain on jerseys year after year in franchise and Road to the Show. A few years back the Cubs had a commemorative patch for Wrigley Field's 100th year and this year they are wearing another 100-year patch celebrating 100 years of baseball at Wrigley Field. In the latest stream I saw that the patch is on the Cubs home uniforms in MLB 16: The Show. On one hand it's awesome that SCEA pays such close attention to detail and as we all know they must abide by the enigmatic style guide. I'd love to see these patches disappear in the second year (and beyond) in modes like Franchise and Road to the Show. I know as it stands that there are only so many "slots" available for each uniform and that doing something like this would supposedly take up another slot. But I've often wondered, couldn't SCEA simply add another jersey that overrides the one with the patch after the initial season in modes that extend into the future? As most things, I'm sure it's more complicated that it may seem, but for a company that pays such close attention to the little things I hope to see this eventually. My greatest fear has always been playing a sports game like NHL where the Blackhawks host the All-Star game and therefore have a large, All-Star style logo at center ice all season... forever. At least that can't happen in MLB The Show. Either way, I'm super stoked about this year's game, especially with the re-introduction of Sounds of the Show.

It's likely there because it is still a work in progress. It should be removed from the final game.

I'm pretty sure it does, since the new uniforms over-ride the one previous years games.

Not a chance. The Cubs are wearing this in real life this year (2016) on their right sleeve.



My issue is that they'll still be wearing it in 2017 in my franchise on MLB 16.

Gagnon39, I apologize, I had to re-read your post because u thought you said last year's patch was still in the game. I know what you are talking about and would like to see it changed as well.

No worries. It's always been this way in The Show. If a team wears a patch for a year it's there forever. A few years ago when the Angels wore a 50 year (I think) commemorative patch I remember having it on the sleeve in my Road to the Show player well into the future.

Interestingly enough, I notice they never put the World Series Champions patch on the defending champions sleeves. I wish they'd just take the same approach with commemorative patches. Just don't include them.

Kinda to piggy back on the patch idea but Ive always thought it would be neat if we could make our own patches. I assume the MLB wouldnt allow it, being things need to be "official," but I think it would be cool 15 seasons into a franchise and the rookie you drafted turned into a stud decided to retire and you wanted to honor him with a patch. It could also solve the problem of a patch on the jersey this season being able to be removed the following season. Yeah I know not possible but fun to imagine!

I would like to see patches for spring training, All Star and the World Series. The idea of creating or being able to upload your own patches into the games sounds great.

This has bugged me for years. I just wish they were able to remove them after your first year, but I don't think there is a way for them to do that being that every sports game is the same.

Another small thing that has bugged me are the player pictures on the left field wall in St. Louis. After they retire, get traded or sign with another team they remain on the wall.

I'll second all of these points.

It's a little bit ridiculous having Jadier Molina on the OF wall after he's been traded or is long gone from the team.

They used to have the actual retired players on the wall. I wonder what happened.
