That's what I added that part. I've become aware that I'm in the minority on this. I can't be online all the time because I can't get real broadband where I live and have to use satellite, which has strict usage limits. I've had my share of issues with games because everyone else just assumes we're all connected all the time, and I thought maybe the reverse was true here.

Ok. Wow! !
2 major stuff ups on 2 plays.
1. Kick return. Every single one of my blockers ran BEHIND my receiver.
2. Illegal block in the back. Called against my friggin receiver with the ball! ! What the? ?????????
Starting to think this update has made the game unplayable. Can i return to the previous version?
This is not going to work
Both of those things have happened since day one. The KO thing is when the other team kicks into the wind and you call middle return. For some reason the blockers still think the kick is going where it would without the wind.
I've had the other before the patch too.
It's patch time and freak outs are happening as usual it seems

But if it goes as previous yrs gonna be alot of sunny games and just cold games but no snow or rain.
I'm wondering if it's a glitch with certain teams like few yrs back where certain teams it would be rain games every game.Comment

It sounds like you are describing a possession catch animation. If so that's not a glitchComment

I can guarantee you that no one on this forum outside of those directly employed by Electronic Arts has viewed Madden NFL's source code.Comment

When do you see a real NFL player performing a "possession" catch when he is alone in open field? I get that sometimes dudes fall down and get touched while they're down, but you can't tell me an NFL player doesn't have the awareness to make the effort to get 2 more yds for the first down. Same thing happens on the goaline in Madden. RBs keep the ball tucked when they are inches away and get stopped.... Situational awareness needs to be addressed.Comment

Gameplay might be working as it was coded but the logic is the actual "glitch" here.. or maybe the animation should be corrected for speed (lots of them take WAY too long anyway)

I hadn't put a lot of thought into this topic before. So, you say that for example if I play i owner mode and make sure to hire the best trainer after year one (in a one player, offline franchise), I'll likely see signifigantly better progression than if I play in a single player offline "coach" franchise?Anyone who claims to be a fan of two teams in the same pro sport is actually a fan of none.Comment

Again, people fall down with the ball in the NFL. They usually make an effort to get up and gain yds, stretch the ball out, lunge forward, etc.
In Madden, they fall down and are stuck in an animation long enough for the entire defense to touch them short of line to gain... how many true underthrows have you seen in Madden?Comment
