      Link (with at least the cover art);

Casey Powell Lacrosse 16 is a console sports simulation where authentic lacrosse gameplay, high quality graphics, multi-year dynasty mode, competitive online multiplayer, real-time RPG leveling, and in-depth character customization are seamlessly integrated and delivered over Xbox, PlayStation, and the PC.

      Gameplay

      • Lacrosse 16 combines the player movement and passing of basketball with the stick control, shooting, and hitting of hockey to create a high scoring, action-packed lacrosse video game.

      • High Scoring: Say goodbye to that “I can’t score” feeling of standard sports video games. Lacrosse averages 20+ goals per game. Get ready to sting corners!

      • Big Hits: Line up the ball carrier for huge hits by perfectly timing up your attack. Imagine a football linebacker with a titanium shaft. Lay him down!

      • Combination Stick Checks: Strip the ball away from the offense with various sword-like stick checks. Slice and dice!

      • Evasive Dodging: Execute combination dodge moves to work your way past the defense. Lacrosse players are pure athletes. First you break their ankles, and then you break their heart.

      • Quick Stick Passing: Perform amazingly accurate and fast passing to exploit your opponents. Tic-tac-toe anyone?

      • Face-offs: Control every movement of your players stick in first person face-offs. Clamp, pinch and pop, laser? Its in your hands!

      • Groundballs: Decide if you are going to pick up the ball with two hands, one hand, or go for the quick Indian pickup. The team who wins the GB battles, wins the war!

      • Transition Offense: The team who knows how to create numbers is the team who knows how to score goals! Find the 2v1s!

      • Transition Defense: Its on you to decide when to stop ball, when to scrape, and when to rotate. Transition defense will make or break you!

      • Settled Offense: There are times to push transition and there are times to settle the ball down. Do you know the difference? Championship teams do...

      • Settled Defense: How far do you want to close out to play the ball? Are you going to pack it in and play zone? Slide from the crease or adjacent? Want to lock off their two best players? If you can't play defense, you are going to be in a world of hurt...

      • Goalie Play: Are you okay facing twelve yard 100mph bombs? Then send your slide early and be ready to react. Looking for low angle shots on GLE? Call for hard top-side angles and force them underneath... You are the General. Command the defense.

Not much to see in this trailer other than slow-mo of the goalies either making saves or letting in goals.
But I'm definitely interested to see more.

I don't know much about lacrosse, but I have always had an interest in learning more about the sport. This game is pretty intriguing intriguing to me, and could be a great tool for me to use to become more familiar with lacrosse.

Does the game have any kind of "franchise" type mode, that takes a team and spans multiple seasons, and allows you to add new players/move existing players around the league?

I don't know anything about the sport, but I'm loving the look of this game.

Big Ant also made Don Bradman Cricket which was fantastic. I've got a lot of faith that this will be good.

Yea there is both a player career and a coach career.

And depending on the price I will definitely be picking this up. There are videos on YT with some CPU V CPU games. Just search Casey Powell 16

I'm in the same boat. I know very little about the game, but it sounds and looks promising.

I got Don Bradman Cricket for PS3 about a year ago based on the positive comments and reviews. I'm sure it's a great game, but the learning curve has just been too much for me, at least so far.

To you guys who don't know much about Lax. Go to Watch ESPN and just watch some it. It's such a fun sport to watch. And watch some of the college games on there. I would recommend watching Syracuse play. They have a great program. It's been around for 100 years and they have only 3 coaches in those 100 years.

Edit: Does anyone what the price of the game is going to be? I tried doing some searching on the internet and I couldn't find it anywhere. So that is leading me to believe it's going to be free.

According to what I've read, it'll be a $50 download. The price actually has me even more hopeful that this is a legit lacrosse simulation.

I've downloaded some of the indie lacrosse games from Xbox live in the past, and while fun and cool to see, they were very arcadey. I'm sure this game isn't a true simulation, but it seems more in that direction than the past games.

For anyone who's new to lacrosse, it's a pretty easy game to pick up. The basic offensive and defensive principles are similar to basketball. You can think of it as a cross between basketball and hockey, played on a football field.

I'm very excited about this game- I played college lacrosse and I've been keeping an eye on Carlo and his team for the last few years. I'd be willing to play anyone who wants to when it comes out.

I am curious about how the coaching mode works. A few of the game descriptions use the word "recruiting" along with being a college coach in career mode. If we could recruit HS players it would be pretty awesome. If anyone here has the early stream release version and can comment on it I'd really appreciate that!

Just found out about this game and watched some gameplay videos. The game looks great. I also want to know more about the coaching career. I watched a bit of a player career and think I would have more fun controlling the whole team.

Definitely thinking of buying this. Love that it has college and pro.

Yea I think I'm going to pick it up as well. Let me knwo I am on break in a week. So going to head to GS and pick up a card and give it a DL. I have been hoping for a lax game for a couple of years. The customization looks alright but I can live with it being a generic game because I don't many lax guys. Only the Thompson kids really and some kids on Cuse like Mariano (sp?), Mellon, Jordan Evans and Matt Lane.
