HOF/Sim. I just always played on the hardest level for sports games since I was kid. It's a lot more fun to me since I feel I am skilled.

If I won on anything less, I would feel like I cheated the game or something because I didn't win on the highest level.

Superstar Sim because hall of cheese has never been fun...Challenge is one thing but the AI literally cheats you out of wins. Lowering your stats and raising the CPU isn't a fair challenge IMO.

I only play hall of fame in mycareer if we are playing the weakest teams or I need VC.

Superstar sim - win some lose some. At times it gets frustrated but not all the games. You need to have multiple strategies to win vs cpu so you need to do your best against any team

Hof sim i can win but im not enjoying much. All star gets easy once you learn how to use your team well.

If you play Mycareer avoid HOF at all cause because LeBron James shoots like Ray Allen, Dwight Howard all of sudden can hit fadeaway in the post from 15 feet. Ricky Rubio can shoot like Steph Curry. Your AI teammates become dumber. For some odd reason guards with low pass vision and pass accuracy are passing the ball like their Magic Johnson. Its not even sim it's more like I'm playing NBA Jam. Superstar gives you the closest to sim.

                    Re: difficulty settings

HOF costed me 1 broken TV, console and 5 joypads. 2K refund me lol but seriously HOF isn't challenge it's cheat and that kind of cheat that developer thinks we never watched actual NBA game. I'm saying about Trevor Ariza playing on MVP level, Kent Bazemore playing like McGrady, Solomon Hill hitting contested treys and things like that.

Mike Wang your definition of HOF is total cheat, change it back in 2k17 for god's sake you already costed me over 2 grand in €.

I play on Rookie - Casual...simply for the fact that all I like to play is MyPark & ProAm.

Like the gentleman above me, I play on Rookie - Casual. I use that just to get my easy badges and upgrades in Mycareer mode. After all that is said and done i move on to Pro-Am and park every now and then.

I heard that All-Star was the mode without any boosts to either the user of the computer.

As someone who played on both i can tell you, if you dont wanna get cheated play all star.

If you play around with the sliders you can get competitive gampeplay without getting cheated, im 16-19 with pacers right now in myleague on all star. (above average player myself)

Superstar is toned down HoF in terms of CPU cheese, not as bad but still not fair by any means.
