I had Hardball on my Apple IIc well before Sega Genesis. I didn't even know there was a Genesis version.

We used to use our announcer's voice all the time when Pepi would pitch...

"Aaaaannnddd now, the Duke of Doom, the Master of Disaster, the Hunk of Junk: Peeeeeppppii PPppeeeeeeeRRRRReeeezzzzzz!!!"

          That guy had NASTY junk!

I used to play Hardball on the Commodore 64 way back in the day.

I loved the Hardball series! So many great memories playing those games. I played the first one on the Apple IIc and 3 & 4 on my old 386 PC. Funny thing was, I played the original so much that I grew attached to that roster of players so I would edit my team in HB3 & HB4 to use those same players. I even did it in games after the HB series like High Heat and MVP.

I miss the Hardball series. When I saw they were reviving the RBI series I was hoping they'd do the same for Hardball. I tried just last year playing HB5 & 6 using a DOS emulator but it would keep freezing during games and I couldn't figure out what was causing it.

I loved this game - though was a big fan of World Series Baseball. Hardball had better stats though if I remember correctly. Tony Larussa Baseball by EA was pretty awesome too. Genesis had the best sports games.

My buddy and I use to play every game in a season with Tony LaRussa baseball. I would play a couple series and bring the game to school and he would play a couple. Was so awesome back in the day. Kids these days just don't know!
