Other retro baseball games did you play?

Dude's post about Hardball got me thinking. I was a big World Series Baseball fan for the Genesis back in the day. I loved those games.

I remember I really enjoyed Sports Talk Baseball on the Genesis, as well. I remember the ball was real small though, I LoL'd @ my friend cause he said the ball looked like a BB. I used to actually use a scorebook and keep score with those games back then.

What old school baseball games did you guys enjoy playing?

Tommy Lasorda was my go to. Loved this game! Cliff and Meek on NY were beasts LOL.

Man, there were so many great baseball games on the NES. The first one I remember me and my friends playing non-stop was Nintendo's Baseball, but it was SNK's Baseball Stars (Saduharu Oh!) that really sunk its claws in deep. Between that and Tecmo Bowl, I couldn't even begin to tell you how many hours/days/weeks we lost to those two games. Way too many for sure.

Later on I discovered some of the NES baseball games that I originally missed out on, such as RBI Baseball and its sequels, Bad News Baseball, and Baseball Simulator 1000. These games are so simple and so fun, I could pick any one of them up tonight and still have a blast.

FPS Baseball pro 96 and 98, along with High Heat 2001-2004.

Ken Griffey presents major league baseball for snes. Still play it now and it is still fun. Prob one of my favorite all time games.

He original rbi and baseball stars are also up there.

Huge fan of the MicroLeague Baseball series. I also used to play a lot of Hardball on the PC.

How about Little League Baseball on NesDs?

Back in the early 90's I purchased a copy of Baseball Stars (NES) from Funcoland (which later became GameStop). Back then they only had a couple of location nationwide and you had to order games from their catalog. Fun times.

My two fav baseball games as a kid were Hardball 4 for the PC and Tony Larussa Baseball II for the PC. I loved the hitting in Hardball 4, but that was about it. I loved everything else about Tony Larussa Baseball II except the hitting. LOL. I couldn't hit anything in that game, but I loved the fielding and the stadiums and all the stats it kept track of.

Major League Baseball featuring Ken Griffey Jr for the N64 which I guess would be the 3rd in that series. Spent years on and off playing that game and still occasionally break out the N64 and play it.

IMO, Earl Weaver Baseball was the first great sports sim. It was the game that showed the true potential for graphics based games.

world series on dreamcast and hardball! on genesis. probably played thos 2 the most back in the day

The original Bases Loaded was huge. I remember my home run hitter with the last name "Bass". That dude would go yard almost every at bat...
