No-No on last day of MLB 15 (C. Martinez) -
Operation Sports Forums
The upgrade is complete, but you've probably noticed the forums are only showing posts up to about April 8. Posts made after that are still in the process of being moved over, and that should take another week or two. Feel free to start a new thread.
The site might feel a little slow while work continues. Engineers are staying on it through the night to get things moving faster again. Thanks for your patience.
It figures that on the last day playing '15 I toss a no-no, via Carlos Martinez (Cards) v. ARI. I'll take it The last half of the 9th is shown in the video
Nice 1st out of the 9th with the shift on. That should have been a single up the middle.
I set my shifts before the first pitch in all my starts. Makes the game feel more organic...for lack of a better term. I bet a lot of users have lost no-no's because they didn't set shifts lol.

I lose most of mine because i have a dominant 1st inning and then i think about the no no until i give up a hit.
I'm gonna play one last game tonight after work an hour before the game releases...It would be nice to end the way you did, but with Bumgarner

No no-no for my last MLB 15 game, a Spring Training game where I am controlling the Red Sox against the Blue Jays (my starter was perfect through 3 2/3 before surrendering a hit in the 4th). But MLB 15 does not want me to stop playing the game. I am in the top of the 18th inning with the game tied 1-1. It's not looking good for me as Mookie Betts is my only starter in the game and my bench has a pretty poor batting average during the Spring plus all my good relievers have already been used in the game. The Blue Jays are also going through their bullpen. But they still have 3 starters in the game Bautista, Martin and Saunders. I am doing tons of button mashing trying to get to the end of the game with 30 minutes to go before MLB 16 comes online. But I will end the game about 5 minutes before MLB 16 comes alive.
Dang I hate these extra inning marathons. I liked you MLB 15, but please end this soon. LOL
Edited to add: it's over. I lost 2-1 in 18 innings. A sub LF Chris Young dropped what should have been an easy catch for an error with two outs and a Jays runner on 2nd. Then I was retired 3 up, 3 down in the bottom half of the 18th inning.
Goodbye MLB 15. Thanks for all the memories. Hello MLB 16.
I have thrown roughly four no hitters in my history as a The Show player.
I have thrown them with Dan Haren, Stephen Strasburg, Gerrit Cole, and Jose Fernandez.
But none of them are quite as romantic as your no hitter story.
My best was in 13 I think, when I threw a perfect game against the Yankees (with Dan Haren) on all star mode. In the rain. I got lucky as hell. I robbed a homerun halfway through the game, nearly had an error cost me the game (but the runner was so slow I was able to recover and get the out before an error counted), and had two diving plays, including one down the third base line that was slapped by Gardner. Had no choice but to hope, and dove. Had I not dove, it would have been a double, had I dove and not caught it, it would have been a single with his speed. When I got the final out, I hadn't realized I was in the middle of a perfect game, I had been playing with music mode on, and it only became apparent with a screenshot.
I've thrown no hitters, but that Dan Haren perfecto was the only one I've ever had.
