Anyone thrown with top two pitchers?

So far my 30k splurge on Fernandez was a waste since ive pitched with him 0 times in 19 games while mike minor my #2 ive only had once in a h2h game vs a friend

Yeah, I never spend on pitchers since it's random. You can try putting your ace in the 3 spot or something, it helped me last year

Number 4 spot always hot with me but the pitchers get auto reordered this year pre game...I got hanley set so Fernandez was the side prize but not using him even once is ridiculous, Tehran has 8 more starts than anyone else in 20 games played

bumgarner hasnt pitched a game for me yet, it always seems to be my number 3 or 4 in the rotation list guys.

Ik they dont want you spamming your top guy, but 0 starts? cmon it should be at least a 20% ratio

Syndergaard is my best pitcher and also my most frequent starter, I have him in the #2 slot but he is my highest rated

Its not random at all, felt like that all of last year. To me it always seemed like an algorithm that helped make ensure a close matchup of pitchers. When you have one really good stud this early, he hardly ever gets picked.

And like someone said putting him in the 3 spot or soemthing wont work this year since they auto reorder, which is dumb. Maybe I want to put my highest rated pitcher second because I struggle with him a bit more than I would my number 2 guy.

I hate to say it, but this is a mode killing thing for me for the near future until I can build a balanced starting lineup. I play 90% offline vs CPU and I like the challenge on HOF. I go to play a game against the chisox as it says there's a 0% chance of a common if I win. The "random" selects 95 overall ace Chris sale to face my 5 slot 76 overall Ross, I don't have a pitcher rated above 83 so I don't really have a close matchup in my lineup, but the complete lack of balance especially offline is crazy. I still have two pitchers in my lineup that have yet to throw and been in the lineup 8+ games. There's gotta be a better way for a rotation that prevents spamming the same players every game, even a redo spin or narrow it down to two pitchers and let us select from those.

So far in Conquest I've gotten:

#1 - 8 Times
#2 - 4 Times
#3 - 5 Times
#4 - 5 Times
#5 - 7 Times

Initially I'd think the algorithm was the same regardless of which DD mode you are in. Not sure how correct of an assumption that is.
