NBA 2K16 Legends Roster Available Now For PS4 (Created By Brian Mazique)

    <iframe width="620" height="349" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/YchfSLsbJjA" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Brian Mazique has just released his NBA 2K16 legends roster, exclusively for PlayStation 4 users, featuring more than 130 created legends. Search for the franchiseplay99 online user ID to find them.

NBA 2K16 is stacked with modes and options, but even a game as deep as 2K can use a little refresh in between releases.

About three years ago, I started doing a legends roster using a mixture of the players from the classic teams and filling the gaps with player creations of my own. Last year was the first year I shared it with the community. The response was predominantly positive, so I did it again this year.

This year’s version has more than 130 created legends, countless re-rated players who were already on the classic teams and a plethora of current stars with adjusted attributes.

The point of the roster is to capture all of the players in their prime seasons. That’s obviously going to be debatable, but that’s the structure. Physically, the players have been created to the best of my abilities using the in-game creation tool.

The ratings are based on the player’s stats from the chosen year of replication. The different eras required some concessions in order to make guys like Bailey Howell or Bill Sharman fit into today’s game, which is the era NBA 2K16 simulates.

Ratings are always a source of major debate, and I don’t suspect any different in this instance. Nonetheless, it’s still a fun new roster to use for MyGM or MyLeague, and best of all, it’s free! There are two rosters: one that includes multiple versions of top players like Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Charles Barkley and others.

The second roster has no duplicates. Only one MJ, Kobe, etc. The highest-rated version was used in those instances.

This is exclusively for the PS4. Sorry Xbox users, it was too much work to complete on 2 consoles this year. Perhaps something can be worked out for NBA 2K17.

At any rate, check out the video to see the full rosters.

P.S. The all-time Oklahoma City Thunder players have been added to the 1995-96 Seattle Supersonics.

Kidd should definitely be on the Nets, I disagree with having him with Phoenix. Darrell Armstrong should be on the Magic as well.

I was going to say the same thing about Darrell Armstrong, lol. He's a personal favorite of mine. I would also roll with Scott Skiles over Payton as well. And Bo Outlaw way before Big Baby.

Awesome job, weird to see Bargnani on the Raptors. Just remember how bad he really was/is.

            Awesome roster!

            I'll be trying this out.

Steve... Why didn't the other roster project get a post like this. I think MJWizard23 put all the missing players on that. Now that's roster people should look into.

I noticed the video posted has multiple instances of legends

In that case.. I'd suggest sprewell on minnesota rather than ricky davis

You can save Mazique's roster and move players around to your heart's content.

Maybe I missed it, just looked at the youtube video... But eh.

Detroit Pistons don't have Bill Laimbeer on the roster? .... There is no chance in hell, that an all-time Detroit Pistons roster is minus this guy.

He's in the FA pool. Blame 2K, they only rated him a 76 and with his low-level athleticism, hard to justify a re-rate

Laimbeer, Mazique is also a Bulls fan, so... haha!

While I also have roots in Chicago (Hyde Park y'all), I too thought it odd that Laimbeer is not on the Pistons. But it's all good; you can always save Mazique's great roster offline and move Laimbeer from free agency onto Pistons.

I'll look at Laimbeer's stats in 2K16 tonight. While he wasn't all that explosively athletic, he was strong and clever. I'd think his off/def awareness ratings ought to be really high, as well as physical attributes not linked to speed or quickness. He ought to be rated overall in the low 80s with brickwall, enforcer, rebounding and mind game badges.

Mazique: So Laimbeer (assuming you didn't change his default ratings and badges in 2K16) doesn't have the breakstarter badge. He's got silver bruiser and brickwall, gold in all three rebounding badges. I'm surprised he has no defensive badges; I'd at least give him post lockdown defender.

Laimbeer's overall is 78. Even if you tweak some of his IQ ratings and maybe a few physical and/or defensive ratings, he'll still be in the 79-to-very low 80s range overall.

Adding or subtracting a player from a roster is the designer's choice, so I respect your decision to keep Laimbeer off the Pistons. It's easy for anyone to download your roster and add Laimbeer the free agent to the Pistons as a bench or reserve player. (My choice would be to add Laimbeer just because of his well-known leadership role with Isiah Thomas on the Pistons championship teams.)

Nice comments all around on the Laimbeer front.

In importance Laimbeer is one of the all-time Pistons players. And stats wise he is in top 10 in nearly every category/top 5 in quite a few, and top rebounder. How high he jumped, or how fast he sprinted be damned.

As far as his stats, and athleticism ect ect. and getting his overall rating up to where it probably should be. All it takes is upping his Offensive rebound rating a few tics (Its too low from the default NBA2k team) and bring up his awareness a few tics (he is already appropriately rated there). in 1989 Laimbeer was probably a 83-85 rated player.

If this roster was to add the players best season, well then Laimbeer must be on that team and his ratings would have to simply be changed. Laimbeer's best seasons were better than many of the players already on the roster.

And I also have little doubt that the person who made the roster is a Bulls fan...
Hate him or not, his place as the valuable player he was to his team is indisputable.
