    Utility secondary position gone?

I was just messing with a roster file to get some exhibition games in while waiting for osfm rosters and went to edit Jose Ramirez on the Indians to have OF eligibility and figured I'd leave him as a 2B with Utility as his secondary. He really should already have 2B/SS/3B as he played a lot there and did some outfield. He started in LF tonight but it doesn't look like I can give him those positions.

Am I wrong in thinking Util was always an option before?

Too many years of MVP I guess haha! I've played the Show every year since 2008 and somehow it still popped in my head

I think I read somewhere that there is supposed to be more of a panalty this year for playing guys out of position. When I have someone who is utility with both IF and OF positions I usually make them a LF primary and then the IF as secondary. Would there be a penalty for playing someone who is a LF in CF or RF?

On a side bot, I have noticed that the CPU no longer lets just anyone catch now. I have seen the Catcher pinch hit for and then the next inning the backup Catcher is inserted in that spot. Thats cool.

Not sure, the only I can think of is that they provide a %penalty to ratings but in the outfiled as long as you're camped under it they should still catch it. It may decrease the ability to field the ball clean off the bounce or arm str & arm acc though.

Yes, that's considered out of position.

            The way I understand it:

            Primary position - full ratings
            Secondary position(s) - some penalty
Out of position (playing where he isn't listed) - harsh penalty

IF would be secondary. CF, RF is out of position.
