Most strikeouts recorded in a game

I thought it might be fun to share our experiences on the mound with the number of strikeouts we have recorded in a single game.

Myself, I just recorded 13 strikeouts against the Brewers on Hall of Fame difficulty. Wacha struck out 10, Broxton fanned 2, and Walden fanned 1 while getting the save.

Previous to this the most I had recorded in a game was 8 total against the Braves.

So what is the most strikeouts you have recorded in a game?

The most I have struck out in a single game is 10 by Archer and that was on All Star difficulty.

15 total, 10 by Arrieta in 6 innings (I also walked 6, had an off night) and 5 between Rondon and Ramirez over the final 3 innings.


Of the first 9 batters I faced with Arrieta to start the game 7 K's and 2 walks before the Reds put one in play.

On HoF with the Marlins I've 1 hit the mets with 14 ks all by Jose Ferbandez

9.0 innings and 19Ks for Aaron Sanchez in a DD game

Got 18 K's against ATL in MLB15 last year on All-Star difficulty.

The night before last, I had 18 K's in 9.0 innings with Taijuan Walker. Been using an all-Mariners team trying to accumulate innings for Ichiro, otherwise I'd have never even tried him.

I got 21 with my boy Boeve. Almost had to pull him with 20 because he was clearly gassed. FB still had velocity but that's was about all he had left. But he got #21 and gutted out the complete game, though the 9th inning was scary as it was a 2-1 game and they started hitting his fastball since they could sit on it - and he gave up a HR earlier so...nail-biting time. But he did it.

I got 14 last year with Jimmy Nelson on Hall of Fame against the Indians.

Had 21 in an online ranked gm. Only threw 77 pitches and 1 ball in complete gm shutout with Jason Hammel this yr. The guy I was playing wasn't very gd I assume cause that should never happen. Lol

I had 14 in 6 innings with Clay Buchholz vs Baltimore a few days ago. Also walked 6 so had to pull him as he was at 110 pitches in his second start. Finished with 20 as a team with Smith and Kimbrel having 3 each

I've only hit double digit's in 16 a couple times so far, but I've K'ed as many as 17, but that must've been around 2010 or 2011, but I was definitely using Tim Lincecum. Dude was a beast, I need to sign him off the FA list for old times sake.

I also played with the Giants back in those days. Was a K machine with Lincecum and Zito in the rotation. More than 12 Ks each start for both of them! I also want to take Lincecum from the FA for the good old days!
