Defense is so gosh darn rewarding this year...I am loving it!

    That is all.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

So it was new in either 14, 15 or 16. [emoji38]

New in '15. I seemed to be the only person on the other side of the fence that was against the randomness in that situation when I was like, "I want to bunt, damn it." Apparently, everybody else was in their defense on saying, "It's realism, bro." I dunno, it has been addressed in some way though. Now we're playing slow-pitch softball rules haha.

I originally didn't see what the big fuss over the frame rate was until recently starting up MLB 2015 to play again. Though far from perfect, there's noticeably less frame rate drops in 2015.

Also, even though ballparks and environments for the most part are improved, I have to agree the player models have taken a step back. The player skin tones are so far off on some, it's become quite distracting for me. If this can be fixed via patch, please do so, SCEA.

There's also far too many "great" plays in the game. It wouldn't surprise me if this is something MLB would want, but it steps away from realism IMO. Not every slow roller to third ends up being a barehanded, 100% accurate rocket throw to first base highlight. Not every close double play chances are turned. But in this game, especially on default slider settings, it's close to automatic.

IMO a new game engine is way overdue, but I'm not counting on it as long as they keep pumping out PS3 versions along with PS4.

Probably, it's PBR. They pushed it way too hard in the game.

Yep, I really hope SCEA take a step back on this. Too many great catches, dive, uber throws ( it's far too easy to throw a bomb from OF to the catcher ) and so on.

Man I almost made a diving catch in the outfield yesterday...only it bounced of the outfielders arm [emoji20]

I haven't made a succesfull (outfield) dive since MLB 12 or something. The CPU flies around like it's nothing, I wish they could make it a little bit easier. Maybe show a marker on the place where you should trigger the dive when the situation is there sort of like when trying to rob a homerun. All optional ofcourse.

I absolutely love pitching this year. I have gotten so many swings and misses this year. The ability to set up hitters this year is far better than it has been in year's past.

                LOVE IT!

One thing to add to this. I'm seeing far too many long, jaw dropping homeruns as well. It takes away from the excitement when both teams hit 2 or 3 415-440 foot homeruns per game. It's more rare to see a wall scraper than a moon shot.

I can agree with this, definitely seeing more No doubt homeruns and more 400+ feet homeruns than I have ever seen before.

Well, i suppose it's a design choice. SCEA probably want a more spectacular and fast paced game to grab more players. A game more Diamond Dinasty oriented, just like Fifa or other sport series. As a general rule, if you reward players with more hits, more HRs, more bombs from OF, more strikeouts, they'll be happy. While i don't like it, it makes perfect sense to me. Since the introduction of Ultimate Team, Fifa turns into a tragedy. It's all attack with little to no defense, tricks everywhere and bombs from the midfield. And there isn't a single set of sliders that works properly. So as a sim fan, i'm a little worried about The Show cause this year i can see clearly a path.

And I am seeing this in MLB IRL more than ever before as well.

It's pretty evident the long ball is dominating our game today.

I almost like 15 better. At least 15 sure looks better with sharper graphics and more realistic lighting. 16 is more convenient to play, but the jury is still out on which one is better overall. I do absolutely love Sounds of the Show and how I can make my games sound just like a Fox broadcast (Maybe I'll change it up to WGN or Comcast Sportsnet at some point), and RTTS has been vastly improved. But there were a lot of things that I felt were a huge letdown, and it has me questioning if I was right to fork over sixty bucks for this game.

Very true, Jake Arrieta hit a monster homerun Sunday over 440 I believe I am sure I have never seen a pitcher hit something like that in this game.

I've seen a few wall scrapers and ones that landed in the first few rows, but the majority of homeruns that I've seen are of the no doubt about it variety.

Rick Sutcliffe, game 1, 1984 NLCS. And I do love the longer home runs you see. Not to mention that it enables you to look for Easter eggs upon replay. They have the fire station on Waveland Avenue.
