I know it's not a good strategy and playing the market is better but it's just so tempting and fun to open packs and hope you strike gold or diamond. I'm holding back my stubs but part of me really loves opening card packs

It's a love hate relationship for me, I love buying, opening, finding, pulling. But I hate that I've opened over 500 packs and have yet to pull a diamond. Couple of worthless golds, some solid silvers and some decent investments.
I spent about 300 bucks in stubs, which I truly regret. But I was new to DD and just thought I could pull a couple of Diamonds. But as it turns out, I could have just easily bought all the diamonds. Really annoying, but it's addictive. For 17 I will not be buying any stubs, hopefully. -

Love opening the packs. Takes me back to the late 80s early 90s and spending my allowance on cards. Lately I've been getting skunked out after some great luck in the beginning.Comment

Don't do it, I opened like 70 packs and my best cards were Betances, Archer and Darvish, now I'm poor as hell

It just seems too hit or miss for me. At least playing games shows you the odds of getting bronze, gold and diamond. You should get better odds on cards with the 10 and 20 card packs.Comment

I've had extremely good pack luck for once this year. Got trout within the first couple days. Sold him and built most of my team off that, I've also got tulo and bumgarner twice. And now last night I sold whatever I could to get 1k stubs exactly before logging off to get one more pack and what do you know ? I pulled Cabrera.Comment

Its a good idea to open up packs at the beginning rather than later on. This way you avoid getting duplicates. Its fun to open packs and sometimes you get some nice pulls. Pulled a diamond Machado earlier this week. Trying to sell it so I can buy 2 more 20-pack bundles and then that will be the end of my pack buying. Will focus on collections after that.Comment
