    Schedules

    Hello,

My buddy and I like to take control of 1 AL team and 1 NL team, play the games vs each other (the intent is to play with teams that regularly play each other) and try to build teams that will meet in the World Series.

In years past, when a team was on the other teams schedule, (for example, Astros and Diamondbacks (is this a rivalry??)) they would be on the team's schedule the following year. After completing our first season of Astros/Diamondbacks, we completed the offseason and found the Astro's and Diamondbacks do NOT play each other this year (as they did in the past game).

Is this something others are noticing in some of the regular baseball AL/NL rivalries (Cubs/Sox, Tampa/Miami, Baltimore/Nationals, Mets/Yankees, and others)? We may start over to try to get a regular series in the season, but I wanted to see if anyone had input on this.

    Thank you!

Is this for an online or offline Franchise?

If online, are you doing a divisional league and how many games is each season?

If offline, the D backs should play the Astros May 30th according to the 2016 schedule and the game should keep the same interleague schedule for each team as each new season begins.

It is offline. We played through the 2016 season. The 2017 season does not have the Astros and Diamondbacks play as I anticipated based on how the schedules are created in past versions of the game. We are debating whether or not we will start a new franchise (we always fantasy draft, so the the teams are selected based on annual series)

That is odd because I was under the impression the interleague games wouldn't change from year to year in the game.

Are you playing a 162 game season in Franchise mode or are you using Season mode with anything less than 162 games?

Does this mean Interleague schedules rotate in the game? In the past you got the same Interleague opponents year after year, unfortunately. Can you check if teams have completely different Interleague schedules (a different division each year)?
It's on me. I shook his hand too hard. It was a hard ... kind of a slap-shake.

"What? You can't challenge a scoring play?''

The Franchise mode. I got the same impression. That is what I was seeing if anyone else noticed this.

I have figured out the Schedule generation:

1.) You retain the same interleague division partners.
2.) 4 game rivalry series go from your rival to a random team part of that same division (ex. - Mets Yankees switched to Mets Orioles.)

I assume it would be hard to correct proper scheduling, but it is disappointing this still has not been addressed.

It shouldn't be hard as PS2 games and even MLB 2k could get schedule rotation right. Nothing to do with graphics.

                  Re: Schedules

Although MLB 2K series was poor in many aspects, I'd love to see the show implement their interleague schedule. Here is my suggestion, I'm not a coder so I'm not sure hos easy it would be to implement but I would love to see it being done.

#1) have each team play one same NL rival regardless of divison each year, that doesn't change (RedSox vs. Braves, Marlins vs. Rays). This should be easy to implement, it's the same every year.

#2) Randomize the divisons each year so on a 3 year cycle you shift through each of the 3 interleague divisons.

*** To implement, it is more difficult since interleague is the whole year, unlike prior to 2012 which was just may to july. I think to counter this, you would have to use the 2016 schedule as a pattern for all consective seasons. For example, say the red sox play the rockies this year in season games 64, 65 , 66. For 2017, the game would switch NL divisons on that 3 yr cycle but for the same game numbers 64, 65 and 66 have it be a different NL league team. So, that 2017 team could be the Brewers of the NL Central for example
