Re: 2016 Western Conference Playoffs- 2nd Round Discussion Thread
No one has really mentioned it, but it hurts me something fierce to see Timmy relegated to towel waver.
His knees must be in terrible shape for him to be seeing very few minutes. Especially in a series when the two things he can still do well (rebounding and interior defense) are badly needed.
No matter how the rest of the playoffs go, the Spurs are going to need to get a lot younger and deeper. And they have some huge, huge holes to fill in Manu and Timmy.

I've always heard that Tim Duncan hasn't been able to walk on his left leg since the 90s and it's only through some Spurs magic that he's able to put weight on it during games."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

People forget that he had the same injury on his left knee and subsequent surgery as Dwayne Wade, Brandon Roy and Derrick Rose (meniscus tear).
He has essentially played a majority of his NBA career on one good knee. Crazy to think he would be an even better player with both knees healthy throughout.

Speaking of which, where's good old Mr. Multiple Sources been at?
Haven't heard much from him all year. Or is he laying low til the offseason to start his robbery of reporting breaking news?#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: 2016 Western Conference Playoffs- 2nd Round Discussion Thread
Funny enough about him and his garbageness. I was listening to an old podcast of one of the radio shows here in town from around the last day or two of the season. It's an ESPN affiliate here so I guess they still have to pretend like he's a credible journalist. Anyway, they played a clip of him from Sportscenter talking about Jimmy Butler and the Bulls situation and as usual he was on there running his mouth like he's actually plugged into the Bulls locker room and knows exactly what's going on. The funny part came when he was saying how at least one starter on the team wasn't happy with Jimmy not flying to New Orleans with the team and this dude actually went on national television and said "I was told...and it's interesting cause I was told this off the record, that he didn't fly with the team due to a family commitment." Sooooo you were told something off the record and then proceeded to go on national television and report what you were told? He then of course started to run down the exact emotions of the Bulls locker room because of course Chris friggin Broussard knows all about what's happening in Chicago.Comment
