I mean for me it's not even about them thinking outside of the box and being creative, it's just deciding to emulate and replicate without taking any shorts. To go deeper into simulating NFL football and not trying to remind us it's a videogame.http://twitter.com/sageinfinite

LOL, this is exactly what my wife just said, is he going to be on there with his bottle and diaper? So i keep hearing people saying Cam should be the cover athlete. Which to me is just wrong in itself because a sore loser dont deserve to be on a cover to me.If you picking a QB, easy , should be Manning.
That said , although i know it never would be, the cover , if it has Cam should really look like this :

I'm very excited!! Madden 16 was ice cold in my opinion (few things to improve on, but not like a few years ago) 17 is about to be amazing, I can sense it coming.Comment

Why wouldn't they seem confident? I doubt they think the game they're working on is gonna suck.
And about that tag line.

I feel like in the past they have been more confident in their vision and direction whereas with 17 they seem more confident in the game itself. I have high expectations for 17 and I have since last year and like I said last year, I think 17 will be for CFM what 16 was for gameplay.Comment

I'd feel better if 2K was doing this, but if they aren't, as it currently stands, I am just hoping that there is real adaptive AI that eliminates players from running the same nonsense over and over without the CPU making adjustments, a massively weakened aggressive catch, and bringing back old school formations.
I enjoy new-look NFL offense as they offer a million different ways to attack a defense, but I found myself missing the ability to go back and try some of the old Bill Walsh split back formations with all of their motions.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 17 Releases on August 23, Cover Athlete & Gameplay Trailer on May 12
Based on the series recent track record of steady and consistent upward progress to the point where the current game stands on its own as a quality title, I vehemently beg to differ.
Anecdotally, I observe that the tenor of conversation in this forum - consistently one of the most critical eyes on the internet for the Madden NFL series - is more positive than it has been in literally years.
The sooner this tired white lie stops, the better off we'll all be for it.
I personally enjoy Madden as much as anyone in this forum; if Madden NFL has no competition for my attention, then I'd have 250 fewer hours logged playing Cities: Skylines, I wouldn't own Mortal Kombat X, and I wouldn't have No Man's Sky and DOOM pre-ordered. There are plenty of other good games to play, and those games are Tiburon's present-day competition.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 17 Releases on August 23, Cover Athlete & Gameplay Trailer on May 12
You make a valid point about other games. I'll just note that a lot of people don't have time for that level of gaming. They choose a few sports titles every year, and they choose among competitors in the sports genre.
It's not a "white lie" to suggest EA has stepped off the gas since achieving exclusivity in the NFL arena. In fact, that view is a commonplace argument backed up by a lot of solid evidence - both empirical and circumstantial in nature. Across the whole panoply of sports gaming, there are features, concepts and variations executed far more solidly than in Madden. You can see that competition has really driven a lot of titles forward. It's fair to criticize EA for not being innovative, and for dropping the ball on the current generation transfer wherein we lost so many admirable features. We shouldn't be looking back to a decade ago when a conversation is held about the glory days of Madden.
So many of the concerns people have about Madden can arguably be attributed to their exclusivity agreement, so I don't think anyone's lying when they make the argument.XBOX Series X Gamer Tag: AlsbronComment

I wonder which new glowing feature they are going to focus on this year. Which feature that was probably in Madden 2000 something that are going to bring back and advertise it as new and innovative. With that being said, I would love to see the ability to create my own team and build my own stadium. I should be able to move my team to any location and give them the name of any of the teams. I loved the Black Knights but had no interest in moving my team to London. The Brooklyn Black Knights would have been awesome. I forget which madden it was, but I loved running the ball and when you pulled back on the analog juke, they did a high step not a back stop cut. That was cool. I miss emotions after a big hit. You cream someone and they stayed down for a bit, even got a little woosie... I miss that. After the whistle hits that drew penalties like in the 90's was cool. Last years Madden was pretty good, I just wish we could have some of the fun back. The NFL needs to stop with this attempt at a squeaky clean image and take I back to the days of brutality, cocaine, and lying about concussions- you know, the things that made the NFL great.!JusKolMeAl - Hip Hop Artist/producer**YouTube, Itunes, Spotify, Youtube Music**

Just like the OL/DL discussion yesterday in this thread, the current license discussion is normally taboo in this forum and especially when the thread goes off topic.
As Kehlis stated yesterday about the OL/DL discussion, the license topic has been down quite a beaten horse path in OS history and the thread should keep going down the avenue of cover athlete and game trailer. A bit more than 24 hours and we will know some things in 17.
I hope Rodgers is not on the cover and he had a mediocre year last season.Comment
