Or if custom draft classes will be left out again and I wont play Madden for the 3rd straight year.

At the very minimum, Im hoping we can edit anything about players at any time during franchise mode like you can do in both 2k and The Show. At least in those games you can edit draft picks once they are drafted and turn them into real guys by editing name, ht, wt, skills, personal info, equipment.

Really hope EA is bring the complete user customization control to Madden like the NCAA series had.

You hit the nail on the head with that post. I feel like if we don't get this feature this year, we will probably never see it.

Not necessarily, we need to think of this as year one of the new franchise mode. It's not going to be as deep as Nba 2K and The Show. I'm looking forward to the direction they are taking the mode, what the main pillars of the mode will be. I hoping the mimic every single aspect of the real NFL off-season and put more emphasis on coaching rather than owning.

Year 1? Try year 3 at the least, but really CFM been in since madden 13, so 13,25,15,16 this would be year 5 actually.

On charging for elements in CFM: the concept of pay-to-win is very widely accepted as terrible game design when devising a micro transaction element. I'm sure the guys at Tiburon know this. To that end I would not expect to see any "buy XP"/ "training bonus" / etc. options in CFM anytime soon.

Note that Ultimate Team is absolutely not pay-to-win. It is entirely playable without spending a dime, and there are safeguards in preventing pay-to-win, including the fact that real money / "Points" have no value in the auction house so a user can't just pick his players.

Well, that is more true now that hey have created a Salary Cap mode. It is much easier to create a competitive team now. But really, if you commit to the offline mode, you can rack up plenty of coins to build a great team. Getting a team of 99's might be tough.

It's hard to say because we don't really know what redesigning franchise means yet. I doubt they would scrap the entire base they've built with CFM but with all the issues it's seemed to have since M13 who knows. I agree with looking forward to the direction they are taking and where the main focus will be as well as how much has been added. Gameplay and Franchise blogs will be good times this year.

No offense, but EA makes more than enough off of MUT and Madden Mobile alone , profit im talking to fund the entire game across the board and still make millions.If that isnt enough for em, many will walk. MUT and CFM are completely dif modes. The whole concept behind MUT is pay for the best team. CFM the idea is actualy spend years building your team thru true team management. You start breaking up the user base of CFM based on who pays the most for it, your destroy the whole thing the mode is about. There is a huge difference.

The fact is , EA has more than the money to make CFM better already.People dont realize how much money just Madden Mobile alone makes them, but i assure you its in the millions.

Never played a single minute in that mode since it came to Madden.....

I hope they aren't talking about charging us for something that was in Madden for years until the last 3-4 releases....

For what it's worth Rex said last night on the show that the CFM dev team was listening and referred to the mode as CFM when he was giving his overview.

I'm not part of the Twitter world but is this a common thing for EA to be this damn confident about their product, I don't recall them pretty much responding to everything so bluntly. I'm more use to the we will try to work on that next year talks from EA.

That presentation bit worries me. I don't want the "focus on me", just watch multiple football broadcasts from multiple networks and copy that, halftime show and all. Quit trying to be so damn creative and just do what works and what everyone has been asking for for years.

The rest sounds good (so far), so I'm at least excited about the gameplay side of things.
