They said that 4 or 5 gameplay blogs will be coming out within the next two weeks so I'm going to guess we will get one tomorrow and another on either Thursday or Friday.

I don't even care about tiered offensive play calling but if they give us tiered defense with new gap control I'll be coming up with exotic blitz looks and packages. My fingers are crossedComment

Day 1 - I will simulate two seasons and see if Larry Fitzgerald drops to a 71 speed, or Garçon falls to a 77, and then I'll take it back. Any update on this issue?Comment

Re: Madden NFL 17 Address All 3 Phases of the Game: Offense, Defense & Special Teams
Pure speculation but I think one of the improvements they haven't touched on is player movement, if you watch the trailer when Gronk is running it is sped up, I think that was intentional and we are going to hear about better running and player movement animations. Could be wrong but usually when something is sped up/cut out, it is for a reason. They cut out part of the WR/db animations in the first trailer last year and I think they may be doing something similar with Gronk running this time.

If no fix to this then hopefully an edit player feature is within the Mode so we can at least edit attributes that decrease to rapidly.Comment

I definitely think something was done with movement animations, but in the two clips shown at the end, the running looked pretty similar to Madden 16.Pure speculation but I think one of the improvements they haven't touched on is player movement, if you watch the trailer when Gronk is running it is sped up, I think that was intentional and we are going to hear about better running and player movement animations. Honestly I hope they are building something on the side to release one of these years, but the animations and the quality of them is the biggest thing holding this game back. One reason why the game doesn't feel fresh to alot of people. Alot of the same animations from last gen still trigger often.
I did love the new handoff/playaction animations added last year. Best animations in the game honestly.http://twitter.com/sageinfinite

Re: Madden NFL 17 Address All 3 Phases of the Game: Offense, Defense & Special Teams
This should've been in Madden years ago. No excuse with the exclusive NFL license to not have signature QB throwing styles, pass rush animations, DB stances, etc.Pure speculation but I think one of the improvements they haven't touched on is player movement, if you watch the trailer when Gronk is running it is sped up, I think that was intentional and we are going to hear about better running and player movement animations. It's possible that they didn't add all the new animations yet and were still using the old ones for that part of the trailer. I know with WR/DB there were a lot more between the first and second time I went down there, and they didn't have the handoff and play action animations in at all the first time.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 17 Address All 3 Phases of the Game: Offense, Defense & Special Teams
Well that's good to hear. Like I said, if they get a majority of the animations to the quality of the handoff/playaction animations, the game will start to look so much more realistic. It's possible that they didn't add all the new animations yet and were still using the old ones for that part of the trailer. Re: Madden NFL 17 Address All 3 Phases of the Game: Offense, Defense & Special Teams
I'm all for new animations but until they actually address locomotion with real inertia/momentum and weight the game will never feel right. Too many times I see Eddie Lacy with 12 yards of steam, get contacted by a corner and immediately stop any forward momentum he has, no driving forward just hitting a brick wall.I definitely think something was done with movement animations, but in the two clips shown at the end, the running looked pretty similar to Madden 16.

True Step needs to be implemented to all 22 guys on the field, it's great that the ball carrier has to decelerate and accelerate and can't zig zag but when the other 21 players don't adhere to the same rules things get wonky.
My biggest peeve is the warping/shifting on catch animations, I'd rather the catch animation play out and the wr not even get a hand on the ball than having him warp to be able to make a play.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 17 Address All 3 Phases of the Game: Offense, Defense & Special Teams
Supposedly "attributes" go into the animations available for the ball carrier animations; I took that to mean weight (and maybe height) was added into the calculations for animation triggers. It's not 22 players, but it's a step if this is true.I'm all for new animations but until they actually address locomotion with real inertia/momentum and weight the game will never feel right.
