What I want to talk about here are two settings, ballhawk and IG.
What we know about turning ballhawk on in both MM/CFM is that it results in the following:
- more deflections (at the expense of more warping animations)
- more block shed
- more broken tackles
What I have seen from turning IG off in both MM/CFM is that it results in the following:
- more aggressive running by CPU (power backs, in particular, run with some serious authority)
- just in general, better overall performance by CPU....to the point I start getting concerned about some crazy stat lines
If ballhawk is "on" in both and IG "off" in both, it gets stupid....crazy broken tackles, warpy play, and shooutouts galore. Then it hit me....let's go "halfsies" on both...
So, this is what I have been testing the last couple of nights...
Ballhawk: On in MM and Off in CFM
IG: Off in MM and On in CFM
The gameplay has looked fantastic...warping has been minimized, broken tackles are there but aren't crazy, and the CPU offense (particularly the run game) has more oomph. The nice thing though is that I still see the potential for defensive games.
This is NOT a "Madden Science" tweak, the OP will be updated tonight after work....
