In an unexpected and stunning series of events, Bill Belichick will step down as Head Coach of the New England Patriots after Robert Goodell's draconian punishment of the Patriots. The Pats will lose their first round draft pick for this upcoming season, have a 1.000.000 dollar fine and will lose star quarterback Tom Brady for the first 4 games of the season. The Patriots, who just won their 4th Superbowl under the future Hall of Fame coach, are by far the most successful franchise in the "salary cap" era of Pro Football. Many teams, however, chose to chalk this up to "cheating" on the part of the Patriots.
According to a Patriots insider, the Patriots will fight the penalties in court and are confident that, with the botched(and seemingly biased) investigation by Ted Wells as well as the NFL's less than honest handling of the situation, they will win this court battle.
