Re: Madden NFL 17 Screenshot Featuring Under Armour and Adidas

LOL, it's funny how things get misunderstood on a message board, no biggie. I didn't mean actual dev tools, poor choice of words by me, I just meant a deep customization feature or tool the community could use to edit/create cosmetics they feel are missing.Right, but again, we both know a cosmetic placeholder would get ripped to shreds on here. Either do it right and don't do it at all.

And no, there would never be a situation where the dev tools are made available online. First off there's no vehicle or tech by which to re-introduce elements back into the game, and secondly, the tech in Madden is proprietary, and they're a publicly traded company. That's protected IP that would be irresponsible to let loose.

Agree to disagree about doing it right or not at all, at least in regard to something like this. I think for something like this, as well as something like generic tattoos, people that notice this stuff would rather have something than nothing at all, even if that something isn't all tricked out yet. Another thing with place holders in an area like this is, I think it might help to get things prioritized sooner because, often out of sight out of mind.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 17 Screenshot Featuring Under Armour and Adidas

I know everyone in this thread would definitely rather have something than have nothing. This is Tiburons game/art, and they'll do what they see fit, and make the best decisions they can for themselves as a dev team. All we can try to do is let them know how we feel about it....http://twitter.com/sageinfinite

Face poser working with a lipguard mouthpiece is the biggest hurdle we have to clear, just know that we know about it and I want it as badly as you guys. Please take note that most of what I say and post is made in satire.

Re: Madden NFL 17 Screenshot Featuring Under Armour and Adidas

I can see this both ways, but as a franchise player I gotta say i'd rather see the mouthpieces. After 3 or 4 years into a chise you've got a bunch of rookies on your squad, and it's inevitable that two or three of the guys are going to have the same faces...the mouthpieces help differentiate the players. Its also easy to say that when the madden team has done a pretty awesome job with scans over the past two years.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 17 Screenshot Featuring Under Armour and Adidas

If you don't mind me asking... is it a similar hurdle with accessories on players arms/legs?

Things like the arm sleeve, forearm band, knee braces, ankle tape..etc.
Just curious why they haven't been able to be updated and done more realisticallyComment

No, mouthpieces are their own unique monster.

Knee Braces have just been low priority since you can't see them in the NFL like you can in college football. Please take note that most of what I say and post is made in satire.

 Gotcha. Thanks for reply.

Do the arm accessories cause issues with the player models?Comment

He's stated they are actual objects that go in players mouths and they need to animate like one. It's not as simple as "gluing" a mouth piece over a players mouthComment

Re: Madden NFL 17 Screenshot Featuring Under Armour and Adidas

There were several pages of discussion earlier in this thread http://www.operationsports.com/forum...adidas-34.html

It boils down to the fact that player faces have features that move, and therefore it is A LOT harder to get this to work.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 17 Screenshot Featuring Under Armour and Adidas

Please check the thread out, it's been mentioned several times.

It's because the players talk and move their mouths in Madden and that included with a mouthpiece doesn't work out well.Comment
