    Problem with hop step layups.

Hey guys. I'm no great 2k player (I'm UFC all the way) but I enjoy it a good bit, enough to get to the hall of fam league. Anywho, probably 80% of the time I try a hopstep layup, my guy just goes up for a contact layup to the side I tried to hopstep. Any tips on how to hop step with better accuracy? Such as holding turbo vs not holding it, when to tap square/X based on how far away I am from the basket? Literally any tips will help. Thanks in advance.

Turbo should not effect the hop step working or not so i still hold it. But depending on what camera angle you play will vary the way in which you do it. I play Beluba and i find that i almost have to hold the directional stick to the side and back to get the proper side hop if that makes sense.

Let off of turbo and tap the button around the passing of the freethrow line but closer to the basket.

Move gets stripped a lot though

I find it much easier to do if I'm running at an angle and tap X towards the side I want to hop. Here are a few clips I've got of them. Usually hopsteps result in ugly contested layups or blocked shots, so I tend to pump fake on most of them.
