Yeah. I can live with clinch knees staying how they are, but the elbow shots drop people too much.

I also think there needs to be a lot more one shot KO's in this game. Guys recover from some crazy ****. I just assume that when I drop a guy he's gonna get up.
Just played the number 40 something guy on XBox one..Dude is like 1200-100, Im beating him up on the feet, he just starts walking backwards, taking every shot..(Since there is NO stopping power on this damn game unless you hit a 8 punch Mortal Kombat Combo), and spamming the clinch. Eventually gets it..(I mean, I can't block every GD one.) Deny's every one of my transitions..(I mean this dude is on denial before I even start touching the stick it seems.) And literally just holds me there the whole round. EVERY time I go to transition to anything he denies. It's like WTF. And you can tell me to "get gud" I don't care. I guess 1200 some people need to get really good too. Is this what EA wants high level matches to be like? Is this really what you wanted your game to be?

And BTW, When I block a damn Muay Thai knee, they SHOULD NOT be able to deny my break. It's damn near impossible for anyone to hold someone in a perfect MT clinch in the center of the octagon, much less after missing one or two knees. If you wanna keep it where one or two MT knees end the fight, then it should be risk reward. If you throw em and they hit, great. If not, you lose the MT clinch. It just looks dumb.

And I NEVER see devs in any of the threads about the clinch. Takedowns, standup, they always seem to be there. Clinch thread? Nothing ever.

I ran across a Tyson user in unranked earlier. I pulled out Hendo and we both threw nothing but hands the whole fight. I rocked him a few times, but I couldn't finish him. Tyson eventually dropped me in the 3rd at took me out. Hard to last that long against him with that crazy power, but that was a lot of fun.

I'm in Div6, and I just can't handle the cheese anymore. My last 10 fights went like this:

Round 1, we strike, it's an engaging, technical, even matchup, it's hard to say who won it

Round 2 Apparently my opponent thinks it's too risky. He starts walking forward holding high block, parrying his head as soon as he gets in range, then clinch spams. I deny the first 50 attempts but the 51st gets through. He denies all my transitions before the 10% mark, doesn't matter if I fake or not. He takes me down, gets me into crucifix which I can't deny because I have no stamina. Again he denies all my transitions, doesn't matter if I fake or not, a minute later the fight is over.

I am really getting burned out on this game

i want to get into UT but its no point. unless you make a grapplers its no point. Grapplers can spam clinch and takedowns and all u need its for one to succeed

Someone help me understand fakes because I'm clearly missing something. When I flick the stick in one direction and then go the other way, there's always a pause before I start transitioning in the other direction. It doesn't matter if it's denied or not. What am I doing wrong?

Just matched up with a guy who I have played before who has like 151-7 record. I gave him one his losses because I blocked his clinch spam enough to get off a sick combo that laid him out. So I know what's coming. Surprisingly enough, the first few minutes of the fight we stand and are having a pretty nice little scrap. I'm pleasantly surprised.

Cut to about 2:30 left in the round, he starts walking backwards holding high block, oh boy..I know whats next. I block the first clinch attempt, and the second..but at the 2:00 minute mark his third gets through..(I'm not going to sit there with my fingers on clinch denial the whole damn fight, if he wants a ranked win this bad he can have it.) So I see him going for Thai, ( of course.)...I thought I hit the block but I guess I wasn't there in time..And here we go. He goes for the knee, I block pretty easily..He denies my transition instantly. I mean INSTANTLY. Like my circle doesn't even get to 5 percent and it's done. I block another knee, try to transition the other way, INSTANT block. Are the ques this easy to read and I just suck? WTF is this. Basically what you're saying is, he can hold me in the most powerful position in the game, throw the most powerful strike in the game, get blocked, and then instantly deny anything I try to do? HUH?

Eventually my stamina goes to zero and I just give up. Elbow, done. Who cares. If this is what people paid 60 bucks to do, so be it, they can have it. I mean, can you please show me on MMA fight where a guy held a perfect MT clinch in the middle of the cage, threw multiple knees that got blocked, and was able to just drag their opponent around the cage by the back of their head for 2 minutes like it ain't no thing. C'mon EA. This stuff ain't cool.

                  Me 3.

When I attempt to fake, I feel like I only slightly move the stick one direction, but before I can get the new direction to register, my opponent has usually already blocked the fake I started with.

I'd like some more info on perfect Swoop too. Feels like that's a huge part of the game I'm missing out on, but no one seems to talk about it!

personally and ive spoke to someone at ea with our suggestions and enough support around our suggestions we can get things done basically first of all im sorry im not punctuating and speaking proper but oh well anyway what i would like to see is in the game the created fighter can fight out of all our hometowns basically stealing lines from ea's ncaa and madden we can be from our real hometowns and fight out of them of course this patch would have to have new speaking parts added to the game but anyway it can be done with our community support and we can fight from our hometowns online and on the regular game and career so basically im asking for your guys support as i cant make a new post i opted to reply to this one and say reply with your suggestions and what youd like to see in the game and also if you stand with wanting to fight and be born in your hometown in the game ufc 2 or the series as im sure this will become a big series with the new overhaul on the fighting engine and all thank you for your time -HokieVape

I'm only able to get fakes to work offline. Every time I try online they get blocked. Kind of silly that a fake transition can be blocked. It's a fake and should not be blockable, at least online where latency ruins the ground game half of the time.

There's nothing like beating up a guy for three rounds only for him to hit a superman punch off the cage with like 20 percent stamina, and he gets a KD to steal the fight. ****.

There also like heat seeking missles and go half way across the octagon, it's pretty crazy you really can't do much either but block or parry.

I had one guy today just spam super man punches off the cage with Eddie Alvarez. At one point he threw 5 in a row. I got rocked by one trying to parry it. lol

I went against a Jon Jones throwing it, I'm a pressure fighter and everytime I'd back him up against the cage with low stamina, I dive in for the kill and get hit with that dang thing. Eventually I learned my lesson, faked dude out, parried it, combo body kicks, fight over. Felt gooooooood.
